OJ death's sparked a very strange convo between me and Merla about our dad. I'll, uh, just leave it at that.

Meanwhile, Eric Carmen died last month but got, like, no media attention since he only murdered zero people. And I laughed at his Wikipedia page. "Not to be confused with Eric Cartman." Who the fuck's confusing the guy who sang "Hungry Eyes" with Eric Cartman?

Edit: Eric Cartman's page actually has "Not to be confused with Eric Carmen." At least it also applies in reverse.

Dr. Ruth died on July 12th at 96. Thought she was dead already. Oops.

Shannen Doherty passed away July 13th at 53 after about a nine-year back and forth with cancer.

Richard Simmons was found dead on July 14th at 76. Cause of death... pending.

When Maggie Smith died, I mentioned her to my boss and he went on and on about how he hadn't seen Harry Potter. My boss is old and Maggie Smith had a long-ass career, so I was initially surprised he didn't know of anything else with her in it. To be fair, the man admits he doesn't watch a lot of movies. He literally has never seen OT Star Wars.
