I may have to pick up those graphic novels.  Zuko's post-100 Year War story is definitely the thing I'm most interested in.

On another forum they can't stop talking about LOK and how awesome Amon is....

I don't even know, I haven't watched either series.

I find it funny that link on the first page still goes to the article about Korra taking dog knot in her vag.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

The Legend of Korra got a second episode order.  (It already had an additional 14 ordered.)  That brings up the total for Korra to 52 episodes once the series finishes.  I wish Nick just bit the bullet and gave a higher episode count to begin with so the story we got already had more room to breathe.  Oh well, moar Tahno/Lin/Asami/Iroh + Old Zuko and I'll be happy.

*Bump*

New Korra episodes are taking forever but think we're likely to get a release date and some juicy tidbits from Comic Con soon.  Anyway, saw this on tumbler about one of the co-creators on the LOK commentary:

Quote
Bryan Konietzko during the "Endgame" commentary on why Korra can Airbend despite having her bending taken away
Bryan: “The chi flowing through her body…you can use waterbending where they make it glow and they’re clearing out those pathways, they can open it up so the chi flows better. What Amon did is that he took that technique and he used it to hurt people, he used it to block those pathways…That’s a philosophy Mike and I believe in, anything can be used for good or bad. Any philosophy or any ideology, it’s really in the person’s intentions in how it manifests. These things aren’t good or bad, it’s just there…So she hadn’t opened up that particular chi path, being the avatar she has crazy chi energy flowing, so he was able to close the ones he could detect, not the one she hadn’t opened up yet. He couldn’t feel it.

It would've been nice, dude, if you explained this in the fuckin' story.  Because.  It was kinda important.  Just sayin'.

Season 2 Ep 1 screened at Comic Con.  Nick won't share it with the rest of us.  Believes dedicated fans should've been in San Diego.  Whatever.  Share the damn episode.  I hope someone recorded it on super spy cam like all James Bond or Cheaters or shit.  Damn.

Yeah a lot of companies are under that impression for some reason. It's why I don't have have Jinx or Zarana figure.

I wish they'd put Korra in the red box...now that the DVD is out I'd like to see the whole thing since I was only able to catch the first couple of episodes.

New eps start in Sept.  And with the first season out to own, now would be a good time for reruns to build up interest again.  But why would Nick do something smart like that?

They stopped airing repeats when I could actual catch them...so I don't expect them to start making it easy for me now.

Seen a lot of TMNT though.

4 episodes in and I think I'm already liking this season better than the last.  I think getting out of the city helped.  It took a while to get straightened out which tribe was the southern one and which was the north and how that related to what we saw in Avatar, but once I did, everything began to fall into place.  I like that we're spending so much time with the water tribes since, in the previous series, we only had three episodes set aside for them (well, plus the one for the bloodbender chick).  Chief Unalaq should make for a good antagonist.

Loved the focus on Aang's kids and grandkids in the B story.

I even enjoyed the C story, with Bolin helping Asami with her business deal with Varrick.  Everything about hiding in the stuffed platypus bear was amazing.  The thing with him and Korra's weird cousin, however, came about way too suddenly and felt really forced.  The dynamic could have worked, but it should have built up more over the course of the season.

That said, I want Lin back in the cast.

I feel like you except completely opposite.  Primary on my list is that the show's one giant sausage-fest.  Warning tl;dr, but this is accurate imo: http://inbetweenthelineart.tumblr.com/post/63161182185/the-ridiculous-treatment-of-women-in-loks

Book 2's over.  Apparently, Korra has broken the line of avatars and no longer has access to her past lives.  Yeeeeeah, that sorta blows hard.  But this show entered Star Wars prequel territory a long time back.  I don't consider it or the comics canon.

My niece loves this damn show. She wants me to bend something every time I see her. I have to tell her that I'm old now and don't bend as well as I used to, but that doesn't seem to shut her up.

Throw a cup of water in her face and tell her you're waterbending.  That sounds mean until you remember there's earth and fire you could've used instead.

I farted on her this weekend and told her that was all the air bending I was capable of. So maybe she'll leave it alone.

I saw some of Book 3.  Yes, we're there now.

No, I didn't actually sit and watch all that because I can't do that with this show anymore.  But Asami and Korra seem to be girl bonding.  It's all I ever wanted for them.  And it only took three %&$&#n' three seasons to get there.  Bah.  (Plus, they made Mako feel awkward as fuck.  Ha ha.)  Mako and Bolin even get to meet family so that was nice, too.  Unfortunately, we have bumbling uncle, street-rat urchin, and a bunch of other annoying numbnuts.  I wish they would just ditch these other people.  Villains sorta show promise.  Book 3 does appear to be more narratively tight at least.  PISSED though, PISSED that Zuko's gonna get a fight scene soon and Katara never got one.  I wanna see badass old lady waterbending.  Fuck.

I still want to see this show...but I think I might wait and bing watch them at some point. Catching them on Nick is just too much hassle at this point. I can barely keep up with turtles and that is on all the time.

I read a glowing review about the last two eps so I sat and watched them in whole.  A real step up from most of the previous stuff.  Still wish Mako and Bolin would go away and take Bumi and new street rat with them.

Episode 6 was fantastic.  Lin Beifong and her sister.  Great with a capital G.  Episode 7 was a fuckin' yawner about the n00b airbenders and Tenzin's boring yawny-ass family.

Overall, this season somes to be a remarkable improvement.  But I guess the proof will be in how they resolve this season's plot lines and the villain's endgame.

PISSED that Tahno came back.  BOO.  He was hilariously douchey.  He needed to return.

Episode 8 was mostly awesome.  Bolin still tears my last nerve.  His "jokes" all fell flat per usual.  But the rest was cool.  I love these villains.  They're really making the season.

The digital thing is ass.  In the end, Nick was already screwing this show anyway.

Screw with a show's time slot....keep it out of the public eye for months on end...wonders why it fails. That does sounds like Nick.
