I watched half of Machete last night. Mexploitation! Fuck whitey!

Best part is where there raiding the whitey hicks fortress, and a paletes cart chases in after them.

Finished watching it today. The best laughs I got from it were the gatling gun motorcycle (naturally, the best part of the trailer, too) and the "Machete don't text" thing.

Dude, you don't know why he says, "dude"? Duuuuuuude.

I just noticed this.
But dude, Tron isn't the Big Lebowski. Bridge's character in Tron shouldn't act like his character in Lebowski.

It's been two months since I saw it but I forgot to do a formal review of The Dawn Treader. So this is it.

It kinda sucked.

My biggest problem was the mist. In the original book the purpose of the journey was to find the 7 old wise men or whatever. Sounds like a perfectly fine plot, BUT NOT FOR HOLLYWOOD. Leave it to the greedy jews? executives to screw up something else. (why do they say Hollywood is run by Jews anyway? I think Mel would say otherwise).

So to add a more "exciting" plot they threw in this "evil green/black mist" that's menacing the seas and kidnapping people. A mist. A god damn fucking mist. As if a mist is really menacing. Oh no, it's a mist, where's a brisk breeze when you need it? So they have to find the 7 old men because they have 7 swords that can fight the mist.

And then when they finally come to the location of the mist, the "Dark Island" that in the book was just an area of pure darkness, it's a giant island of rock and smoke. And then they're fighting the serpent inside the island (which happened in a different part of the book) and Lucy calls for Aslan to help, he sends a dove. Now, in the Book, when they're in the darkness, the dove leads the boat out of the darkness into safety. In the movie, the dove does jack shit. Absolutely fucking nothing. Yea, send a dove to fight a giant sea serpent, good idea. "Aslan help us!" "here's a dove, lol" "WTF, we're being killed by a sea serpent and you send a fucking dove? What the fuck is your problem? An army of killer mermaids would help us a lot more than this shit. I mean, you're fucking Jesus Lion. Why don't you just kill the serpent with one swipe of your claw or something?" "Sorry, lol. Too busy to send help lol."

They made too many changes to make me happy, so I suspect the rest of the movies will probably be trainwrecks as well.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

I forgot all about the Dawn Treader movie, too.  I had meant to see it but I wasn't enthused when people were all "meh" when I asked what they thought of it.

I saw:

Exam - Someone else please stream this on Netflix and let me know what you thought of the ending.  I think this was a good movie overall, but that ending was a little too asspull to be satisfying.  But I'd love to discuss it with someone.

Up - Okay.

And some vid about obesity being a killer or whatever.  Meh.

Yup. Just checked. It's still a classic.

I finally watched Pootie Tang, you may know it as the movie that caused 9/11.  What a huge fucking waste of time that was...but I can't stop quoting it.  "Cole me on the panny sty. "   :puke:

That's the last one I saw as well. It was on AMC and I watched it even though I own the flick. Then I got in a debate on what was the line that was most quotable from that movie, which I was backing "It's all in the reflexes."

I paused it for a couple hours so I could blow through the ads, but wound up changing the channel inadvertently. So I dug out the DVD.

Did I mention I saw Summer Wars? I always forget what I post on here. It was a blast.

Also saw All-Star Superman the other day. Holy shit that was fantastic.

I mean, literally fantastic. As in every twenty seconds something fantastic and utterly ridiculous was in the film. I fucking loved it.

^ That.  Frankly, I liked the first half of the movie better than the second half.

Anyway, I saw Rango last night.  Holy shit was that good.  Probably one of the best looking and creative animated movies I've seen in awhile.

What's Rango about?  That has, like, Jack Sparrow in it or some junk, right?

Rango is about a chameleon who is stranded in the Mojave desert after his owners get into a car accident.  He is completely socially defunct, having spent most of his life in an aquarium by himself, and often puts on one-man plays the escape his reality.  He happens into a town full of other animals and realizes that he can put his acting skills to the test to finally be someone.  He puts on the role of a hardass gunslinger and takes it upon himself to help the town with the water crisis, but winds up getting to caught up into being this character and starts to forget who he really is.

It's by far one of the most original things I've seen in awhile and does try to shove some fucking stupid "Green" message up your asshole, then insert its animated dick.  Not to mention that it actually has balls and isn't afraid to be violent or toss in the occasional swear, like animated movies from the late 80's/early 90's.

Hmm, mayhaps I'll chell it out.

I re-watched Cliffhanger, Passenger 57, and Executive Decision.  Simultaneously, I wanted to punch John Lithgow for being a ham, rofled @ little old white lady Arsenio fist pumping Wesley Snipes, and am freaked out by Kurt Russell's droopy-ass eyes.  I never realized fucking Hercule Poirot was playing the terrorist in that movie.  "My little grey cells say I AM THE FLAME THAT TMEMPERS ALAHS SWERD!!Edowenflb.."

I heard that "family movie review websites" (read: Christian websites trying to tell you what movies are bad for your soul) were complaining that Ringo had tobacco use. And half the shit from Bugs Bunny and Loony Tunes didn't?

So I saw "It's a Trap!" which is Family Guy's take on Return of the Jedi. Now, the first one was great, the second one was good with some funny moments, and the third one... the scroll at the beginning of this one was right when it said they ran out of material. It was hit or miss.

Some moments were funny, like when Stewie (voiced by McFarlane) was talking crap about Seth Green to Chris (who's voiced by Green). But some were just damn stupid. Over the Sarlac pit, they had this thing where all the characters nodded at each other for about 5 god damn minutes.

The movie was also pretty bloody, which they said was to counteract all the cute crap with the ewocks.

That was the only part of the movie that I truly hated. I know it's an old school Family Guy shtick.... but it is the STUPIDEST of their shticks. I could happily deal with an entire season of Giant Chicken fights if they didn't do this once in the whole year.

Well didn't they say in the opening scroll that this one wasn't any good?
