Heh, "Nina". Gotta love those damned cell phone keyboards. Ironically, I was playing it back on the hotel TV through my phone immediately before posting that note.
I watch subs primarily for the reasons joe mentioned. At this point the only discs I buy are those few that make it the cut and I wish to support financially.
To Love Ru Darkness has been fun...but not as much as the previous season. I liked Motto's episodes of three tangentially-related vignettes of service better, and I got tired of the sisterhood crap after awhile...like Rito, I'm partial to Haruka.
Samurai Girls was fun...the art style was great, and hooters. I'm usually not a fan of the period samurai bullshit, but this was about as far from that as you can get in that its more mystical than martial arts and, again, hooters.
Haganai season 2 was a good continuation, leaving off with a substantial cliffhanger. I could probably read the scanlated manga to find out how it ends up, but it's not that much of a nail-biter...season three will start with everything more or less being reset with a minor lean forward.
Sankarea has been interesting. A dude with a zombie chick fetish meets a chick who wants to be a zombie, then becomes one through his help. Now they're trying to figure out how that shit works while avoiding her dad who's pissed that she's dead and has rejected his very disturbing form of fatherly love. Waiting for the rest of the BDs to be encoded to finish the series. Weird show, but still...interesting.
Ben-To was fucking stupid. Next.
Oh, shit, so was Maken-Ki. Staying away from similarly titled shows from now on.
Vividred Operation was a fun show except for the Strike Witches-esque fascination with showing underage female panty-shots. Yuck, no thanks, but the rest was good enough that I could overlook that solitary failing. Kinda-sorta magical/super-science girls fight otherworldly thingamabobs to save the world--'s energy supply. Okay, make that a two-fold failing.
Finally finished downloading the second season of Horizon, but I haven't started watching it yet.
