I never really got behind the premise of the x-men how the mutant plight was a metaphor for the struggle of minorities.

I'm all for equal opportunity and rights, but if you had people who are basically human WMDs I'd want the government to keep a very close eye on them (at the very least). The anti-mutant protesters aren't mindless bigots, they just don't want their family killed and their city destroyed the next time Magneto has a PMS attack.

I wasn't watching the Fox Kids one but I really liked that show, too. Merla also crushed on Gambit (and I think maybe Wolverine, too) and bought comics due to him. She followed a few titles for a while but then slowly left them behind and doesn't really follow anything in Western comics anymore. I thought Rogue was so awesome that series. I loved that whiny Southern screech. I'm getting tired of seeing Goth Rogue everywhere. That shit's played out.

I remember renting Pryde of the X-Men and really liking it...other then Wolverine was an Aussie for some reason in that show.

Pryde of the X-Men is pretty cool. I kind of wish we'd gotten that show. The X-Men arcade game is based on that pilot.

I have the VHS tape at home. I purged a lot of my tapes this week but still kept quite a few.

Oh that arcade game. I actually saw that for sale in a game store once. The whole cabinet thing and I never wished that I had money and a place to put it so much in my life. I played that game like crazy back in the day.

The XBox Live Arcade version is pretty great. Using HD and the 16x9 aspect ratio they fit the two screen into something fitting with the original size quite well.

I like playing those kind of games with an arcade stick for authenticity.

At PAX a few years back the group in the halls would often break out into a string of RAAAARGGGHHH, RAAAAGHHH echoing back and forth down halls. As soon as it would quiet down someone would start it up again. It was fantastic.

Haganai season 2 has started up again. Forgot how much I missed this show. Only new thing so far is Maria's sister, Kate, who's a hottie in a habit but is incredibly crude and apparently farts a lot. But nobody's perfect.

I saw some of the Blade anime. Been meaning to pick it up where I left off, then slowly realized I actually didn't care. I don't think it was bad, but it reminded me of the Gargoyles Avalon arc where they travel to different places except I wasn't as invested in the plot of this.

Holy crapballs, I didn't even know there was a Blade TV series.

So I've been scoping out Crackle on my new Bluray player. Been watching Fate/Zero and Oreimo. The latter is odd concerning one of the main character's hobbies but so far it's still cute in its own way. I started it not knowing what it was and it could've easily gone in the wrong direction.

Honestly, I wouldn't know if they are or aren't. My DVD player croaked and it's what I found on sale to replace it. I don't even have any Blurays to play on it.

I got a BluRay Player for Christmas last year...and it was only because I was bitching about my normal DVD player and its devil possessed DVD tray. I hardly have any BluRays and still pretty much stick to standard DVDs.
