I was extremely underwhelmed when it saw it. Not as shitty as Tarzan or as forgettable as Hunchback, but sure as hell made Pocahontas and Mulan look like masterpieces. A few points for setting and some fricken original character design, but that's it.

I liked that they looked weird though. We've gotten a lot of palette swap characters, especially obvious with the Disney princesses. Jasmine and Snow White kinda distinguish themselves but the other four (leaving out Ariel's fins) are too interchangable. At least as far as females goes Esmeralda, Pocahontas, and Mulan each looked different, but the latter two are not included most of the time and the former never is due to non-princessness. (Which sucks because she gets my vote as the hottest.)

I've been slowly watching the mature anime series Mnemosyne, also known as Daughters of Rin. It only has 6 episodes but each are a TV hour long (so about 45-50 minutes) and I find myself distracted watching something that long. It can be interesting but is a bit boring at times.

I said mature but should have said adult, as it's not pr0n but has lots of nudity, tits, lesbians, and a fair amount of gore and torture, and some somewhat explicit sex scenes where they don't show genitalia. The plot also takes a while to get to the point, as at first it's about two immortals who do odd jobs for people that often involves the mafia, but has hints about angels and immortals and a tree of life which doesn't really explain itself fully until the last two episodes.

I finished Weiß Kreuz Glühen aka Knight Hunters Eternity. Lots of pretty anime guys but the story's a right piece of shit. On the last disc, no fewer than ten characters jump right into the already crowded cast. Felt really unfocused and hammy.

Starblazers really sucked and yet there's 3 seasons of it. Must be more exciting in the original Japanese. Captain Herlock is slow and boring, even his hotness can't save the show.

Trying to figure out what series to start in on.

A lot of people I know are really into that Soul Eater show, but it looks like generic shounen stuff to me. Granted, somewhat better than your typical shounen stuff like Naruto, but still shounen.

Merla and I saw Prince of Tennis. I'm certain we missed something because, man, that thing was a fucking bore. Just because tennis is in the title doesn't mean you have to spend the entire episode doing it. None of the characters were even remotely likable to boot. I wanted to kick that shifty-ass kid in the face. And at the end of the ep he was all "I was using my right to play even though I is left-handed, what a tweest". Boo. We didn't bother with any more of it. Also, why the hell there are no opening and ending themes is utterly baffling. (And still that manages to be less stupid that B'tx, where they took out the vocals on the English track because OH NO, JAPANESE SINGING.)

It's basically a director's cut of DBZ. New voice overs, new music, all filler and redundant scenes/animation cut.

For example, the Android saga started at episode 126 in Z, but in Kai, it started at episode 59.

Goku VS. Freeza was 5 episodes long as opposed to 19(!).
