Im trying to watch girls bravo but it must be some kind of shitty fan sub.  ...  Fuckin Bullshit.

Your friend Netflix is cheap, simple, and convenient.  I can send you a number that'll get you a free month if you want to give it a shot.  You should be able to watch all of GB pretty quickly with that.  But the best episode is #12 (it's on volume 3 on the DVD along with the almost-as-funny hot springs episodes 10 & 11)...it's side-splitting even without subs.

It's a series that I plan to buy as soon as I save up enough.

The Funimation dub of Kitty Grade has the music dubbed too. x.x

That was actually a good thing...less clutter on the screen and I didn't have to read it to understand the unintelligible bullshit that passes for lyrics in most anime intro/outros.

And of course it's yet another shitty orgy of girl powet and fanservice.

Well, yeah, I give you that.  Kiddy Grade could have been really good, but the stand-alones and the big plot WTCHOP halfway through busted it.

Kiddy Grade was one of the few series I'd actually written a review for in the past.  Maybe Kiddy Grade 2 will be better.

All I recall is seeing some eps on Colours TV a while back and it didn't look too good.  Kiddy Grade, I mean.  Kodacha on the other hand was fantastic.  But FUNimation's dropping the title so no second half of that.  Disappointing.

Hmmm I might take you up on that netflix thing someday but until that day I'm flying the jolly roger.  That series may have eluded me this time but it can't hide forever.

I'm currently watching the tick...but that's not really anime.

I finally finished Chobits. the ending seemed sad at first. Thought it was going to be one of those emo depressing sad endings.

Puzzled a little on the fact that after Chii's

What if I don't want one? It would be just another board I don't have time to read or post on. This one takes enough of my time.

You talk about it like it's an obligation to come here.  All you'd have to do is make the exact same account you have here over there with the same password and everything and just read shit.  Omg, like it's so much work.  And if you don't want one?  Then don't get one, dumbass.

I never read manga. I don't think I have the attention span for it, and the pretty pretty moving animations are much cooler.

But then I won a copy of Ken Akamatsu's A.I. Love You, which was his first manga series in the mid 90s before he wrote Love Hina and Negima. A.I. Love You lacks the massive amounts of fanservice and tons of beautiful women hovering around the nerdy lead male.

It's more of a romance/comedy where this nerdy but brilliant computer nerd has a crush on the hottest girl in school, but she's flakey and pulls pranks on him and acts like a bitch to him. He goes home and talks about his problems to a beautiful virtual A.I. girlfriend. Insert freaky storm and the computer being hit by lightning, and the A.I. girl comes out of the screen and becomes a real girl like Wierd Science or Video Girl Ai. And then the boy starts teaching his new girlfriend the ways of the world Chobits style while the flakey popular girl tries to break up the relationship like the petty jealous bitch she is.

So nothing new here.

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu still. I really need to return that. I'm also contemplating digging into my Medabots collection.

Merla and I are down because Kyo Kara Maoh is getting really good but we won't be getting the next volume tomorrow like we wanted to because there's a "short wait".  Boo.  We're suppose to visit our dad this weekend anyway but still.  Not to mention it stops at volume 6 and with that news about Geneon, who knows when the rest of it will come.

Merla got Voltron's Red Lion last week.  I only saw some eppies on the first disc and they looked boring as hell.  One of the extras on the third disc is a twenty-minute segment with Michael Bell (Lance, Sven), Neil Ross (Keith, Pidge), and BJ Ward (Allura, Nanny, Haggar, the cat).  Though they aren't together, the interviews were done individually and then spliced into a single segment.  Some interesting things:

  • The VAs talked about how their fee covered a maximum of three voices.  So whevever dudes were performing voices for kids and chicks, it was because the producers or whoever were too cheap to pay BJ Ward or some other woman to do more voices.
  • Neil Ross didn't know he was voicing Pidge until the day of recording.  In response, he had to make up a voice on the spot.  He didn't know that Pidge was going to be a regular character either and says if he had known, he would've done a better job with making a voice for him since that voice gets him so much flack.
  • They asked all three of them if they could do their own Voltron episode, what would happen in it.  Best response was Michael Bell's.  To paraphase, "Voltron would be assigned to save President Bush from assassination.... and fail."

I said its hot outside let me go swimming in your eyes;
We been running for awhile. Why don't you lay dow, I'll make you smile.
I could never ask for nothing better than this;
It's just tequila and the beach, it's quite salty when we kiss.

I watched episode 1 of the hellsing ultimate today and while the animation was awesome I didn't see anything I hadn't seen story wise in the original series and since the story was condensed the characterization happened too quickly leaving anyone who hadn't watched the original series to think that the main characters are all a little off their rockers.

Ah, it's at times such as these that I'm glad I finally made the place private.  It puts off those who might think to come in and bug me.

Well, he gets to Seiren, but sadly it doesn't work out too well for him.  He leches out plenty on Earth, though.

Over the past few days I just watched from episode 5 to ep. 11 of Claymore, it's just that fucking awesome, I couldn't stop watching.

It's about these hot half-demon female warriors that fight demons with their giant claymore swords. And they release their demon powers while fighting and become superhuman.

A gory horror anime with hot-as-fuck half-demon chicks in skintight white catsuits cutting people in half makes me hard. The chicks do, I mean.

I also watched 13-17 of Code Geass and that anime keeps on getting better and better as well.

I Netflixed Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror.  It's eleven episodes, but the episodes on each disc are all self containeded with each other so it's a lot like an anthology series except the stories are multi-episodic.

The first disc is Tenshu Monogatari.  It's nothing spectacular and at four episodes it's at least one episode or longer than it needed to be.  The character designs are nothing interesting and it starts out promising but quickly degenerates into random predictable fare.  Who knew we were gonna get that ending?  Oh yeah, we all did.  It's based on a play.  I feel like we were missing a lot, even with the length it was.  It wasn't horrible but not something I would recommend anyone bother with.

The second disc was Yotsuya Kaiden, which is suppose to be one of the most famous Japanese ghost stories EVA.  But I didn't know anything about it, so I went in blind.  It was also four episodes and used those episodes far better than Tenshu Monogatari did.  The narrator was the creepiest aspect of all.  It has character designs by Yoshitaka Amano.

The third disc was Bake Neko.  It was three episodes and the best one of the series.  The look of it is very interesting, like we're looking at pictures out of a story book.  I love the textures, the colors, the character designs and the background designs.  All very nice.  The story is pretty solid.  The Medicine Peddler definetely goes on my list of memorable anime characters.

Blah.  Fate: Stay/Night's Vol. 6's "Long Wait" at Netflix infuriates me.  Watch it and turn it in, goobers, I wanna see the ending.  Maybe it'd expect this from Halloween movies and such since it's the season and that shit and everyone's probably renting them, but I'm ready to close the book on Fate and can't because of one volume.  Vol. 5 was kinda cool, but I swear, Lancer, Archer, Kuzuki, Medea... this series wastes the most awesome characters and leaves us with all the wanks.

Fate/Stay Night actually came in on the 31st so I watched it on Halloween.

Merla and I also finished "Giant Robo".  Merla wasn't terribly impressed.  I think she felt let down by the ending and overwhelmed by the sheer number of characters.  I actually liked it.  Ha ha, lack of communication can really be a bitch sometimes, as poor Genya found out.  I like how the characters move around.  At one point, two characters are running hella fast, but only their legs show movement.  One of them's even crossing his arms as he runs.  And this one dude becomes like a human rocket and fires himself off at the enemy.  It's rad.

I actually got around to watching more of Bleach as I had stopped in the middle of where that guy with the bow was competing with Ichigo... what? I know it was only episode 12 but dang, I'm not really into the series and I don't have cable. So now I'm up to about 22 where Ichigo fights the giant with the axes, played by IDE.
