When officers arrived, they found her husband bleeding from his crotch. The 52-year-old man was rushed to UCI Medical Center, where he is now in a serious condition following emergency surgery. While searching the home, officers found a knife and a rope.

Whatever happened to Lorena Bobbit? Is she free? She shouldn't be.

This type of crime is no different than sawing off someone's arm or leg in fact it's worse. It also trumps rape in the list of crime severity as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone who does this should be locked up for life.

The only time that an insanity plea for this type of crime would be legit is if a chick (or a dude for that matter) was raped and tracked down the rapist and cut his dong off.

I'm not dismissing her claim but considering what she did I have to wonder if it was really true or if they were just grasping at every angle they could to justify her dismembering someone.

I know from personal relationships that you can be raped by your husband. It was bad, bad stuff.

Some people are VERY against leaving marriage, because they do see it as sacred, or want to stay for the kids, or feel the kids are unsafe, or whatever.

He didn't even know she hacked it off until he woke up. He was asleep the whole time.

But, I dunno, he later ended up going into the pr0n industry. I think something like 6 months after it was re-attached, he had a contract for Bobbitt: UNCUT or something along those lines. I remember him on Sally Jesse Rapheal talking about getting into pr0n, and they had the kid from "The Toy" who also went into pr0n when he grew up. To think he wasted a perfectly good pun title on that movie with Richard Pryor.

In the end, one of my favorite Law and Order episodes is based around the incident, so it can't be that bad. But I still think he got the short end of the stick on that one.

From what I read on some other article (I was at work and don't remember the url or I'd link it), he signed a consent form of some kind that pretty much gave the doctor permission. Never mind that he's more or less illiterate. While I would like to think they did their best to explain it to him, I can't help but imagine it was like an iTunes agreeement where he just okay'd it and everyone moved along without a thought.
