Been playing a lot of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! and Super Punch-Out! lately.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Did you ever beat Mike on that?
I was pretty good at that game when I was a kid, but Tyson wiped the floor with me every time

I could never get past past Glass Joe...that was one tough bastard.

Nah..I kid, I kid. Did you know there was a version of punch out that didn't have Mike Tyson in it. Instead you fought a guy named Mr. Dream at the end of the game.

Yeah, that's only version of the game Nintendo sells now. I've bought that game three times now and I still can't get past Soda Popinski.

So I reaaally want the 3DS now especially since ive heard so many good things about animal crossings. But the question is should i get it here or in Vietnam. (did i tell you guys im moving there in less than a month?). Heard its cheaper there but might be a fake one. Then again theres the region-locked issue. Might be able to get the games from Hong Kong (so i can get them in english)

Also got as a gift a game of Jaime Oliver for the Dsi. Obviously it sucked

Well his firm in Tokyo sent him to Europe and while here he just got offered a better job in Vietnam so yeah. I love living in different places, I tend to get bored easily (except in Tokyo) and the weather here is SHIT.

I beat Tyson once. I ran it on an emulator and hit save state every time I landed a punch and load state every time he landed one. Of course, it only took him one for a KO. I could get to him on an actual NES, but I never lasted longer than a minute. All winning did was give you the password to the special circuit, so it wasn't worth doing again.

The reason for Mr Dream was that the license for Tyson only lasted something like two or thee years, and by that time he was a known wife abuser, rapist, and no longer champ, so Nintendo was quick to drop him.

It's Europe. It is why some of us are pasty bastards. Sun doesn't come out much over there.

Of course, make a decision based on a fictional movie, that makes a lot of sense, totally.

There are people that build bunkers to try to survive a zombie outbreak....personally I think that's about as likely as a Frankenstein invasion, but whateves.

Do you need a different kind of bunker for a Frankenstein invasion?

As of Saturday, Uncharted 4....Charted! I spent about four hours a day on this since Tuesday with the exception of Wednesday. As usual for this franchise, setting it to Easy difficulty is as tough as I'll ever play it. Here's the highlights:

GOOD:
- Probably the finest graphics of any game I have ever seen. The bar has absolutely been raised. Cut-scenes and in-game graphics are indistinguishable.
- The game is HUGE. You can explore much of King's Bay by truck, which is free roam for a large part. And wow, are those islands big!
- Melee combat was drastically scaled back. It's there, but it's very rarely necessary (unless it's the final battle)
- Nathan Drake finally grew up with this, his last adventure. It's nice to see where he and the other characters ended up. This part of the story was great.

BAD:
- The villains are a let-down. Rafe, the main villain, is a dweeb, and Nadine, his muscle, is just sort of there.
- Nate & Co. go against a huge crew of baddies, constantly playing catch-up despite knowing more or less what they're doing...like every other Uncharted game.
- The stealth portion could have been better. Sneaking around in tall grass is fine, but it got old quickly.
- Speaking of getting old, I will never have to worry about having a hankering for mountain climbing. That's most of what I did here.

UGLY
- I hate dark, confined places almost as much as I hate being in high places. So this game pushed all those buttons.
- Hitting one of the right triggers in the previous games reloaded your weapon. Here, it throws a grenade. Guess what I did a lot of?
- I can't believe this is the last Uncharted. But, given the epilogue, it may not be the last time we see a Drake on an adventure...

In the final analysis, this is a great game, and the entire reason I bought a PS4. Uncharted 2 is still the best of the series, but, despite being a bit tired and tedious, I enjoyed it better than 1 & 3, even if the story beats were more or less the same.

I've just been replaying Chrono Trigger.  Which is why I replied to thread in the first place.  But then I saw the Frankenstein thing.  And I couldn't let that go.

Chrono Trigger...I haven't played that since I maxed everybody out on my last save state. Still fun, though.
