I finally watched Alphas season one. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

I put it in my queue but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.  I just watched some G.I. Joe Renegades.

Breaking Bad on Sunday nights. Sucks that it goes on year-long hiatus next week.

I couldn't stand Alphas.  Decent concept but it was just a procedural with guys with shitty super powers and a magical retard, the worst kind of character.

I saw the first episode and while it was tolerable I don't know if I could sit through the rest.  The episode played like a short movie that pretty much wrapped shit up so I don't know what I'm tuning in for really.  Also, I feel like I've already seen some of these characters before.  The new edition to their team reminds me of a watered-down, humorless, less book-smart John Crichton.  They should've either canned him first ep or had him joining the team be a recurring side plot that's resolved at the end of the season.

I also saw an episode of In Plain Sight about some tough-chick U.S. Marshall who bordered on annoying.  Was curious where the series was going but when I tried to watch the second ep, I got bored fast.  And apparently the creator bailed or something early on...  Never a good sign.

Also watched a couple eps of Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares.

That's still a very long time to wait to see how it all ends for Walter
I thought they'd be back with the second half of the season in January or something

The second series of Sherlock on Netflix. I love love love A Scandal in Belgravia. The other two not so much but they're still really good.

I'm going through those as well.  Still haven't seen the last ep though.  I found Irene Adler in this adaptation kinda annoying.  Would've liked it better if she had just outwitted Holmes and left it at that as opposed to him defeating her and then having to save her.  Boo.

Now that Sherlock series 2 made the stream, time to wait for series 2 of Downton Abbey.

The last episode of Sherlock was aggravatingly good. But how do they follow it up? Iguess they can follow the example of the originals, but still.

OMG, this latest season Sons of Anarchy.  I actually feel bad for a character I didn't even like.  Also Ashley Tisdale x Ron Perlman: there's something I never thought would happen.  Ew.

I can't believe they fucking killed him. Jax has to go war with Pope now. This season is going to be great!

In weird SoA related news, The actor who played Half Sack was found dead and he also may have murdered an elderly woman.

I've been watching American Horror Story...but since I didn't get in from the start I'm a little confused, but the episodes I've seen have hooked me a bit enough to try to start searching it out.

Oh, yeah, I saw that.  Freakish.  But, yeah, I was watchin' this last ep and I completely didn't keep up with the rumor mill.  I didn't know someone was gonna die from their crew.  I thought he was gonna get saved somehow and I was like ACK.  Jeez.  Those poor kids of his.

Oh, and I saw Elementary.  Of course, I won't bore you with how it's inferior to Sherlock.  We all know this.  As much as people bitched about Joan Watson, female Asian Watson is actually the best thing about the show.  Poor Lucy Liu would totally shine with a better script but they give her a lot of hackneyed lines and a dull backstory.  Just keep her as a surgeon who went to war and came back wounded and shit.  What's with this "dead patient, sued for malpractice, visiting grave, boo hoo" crap?  Nobody wants to see that Gray's Anatomy bullshit.

Sherlock does not seem in character.  He comes off as bratty, misogynistic, tempermental, mean-spirited, and even slutty.  Instead of making keen observations of people based on their words, demeanor, dress, and mannerisms, he reads fuckin' labels off of bottles and boxes, Googles shit, and looks at people's cell phones.  His observations were obvious, any actual uses of logic and deduction were very little.  In fact, Watson's keen eye solves the case.  WATSON.  The case featured in this episode was boring anyway.  Even the scenary and staging were dull to look at.  Unlike the gorgeous apartment featured in Sherlock (oops, comparision) with all of its interesting textures and nuances, this Sherlock lives in a fucking shack that's nearly empty inside and leaks fuckin' honey.  He's in serious need of a Mrs. Hudson to spruce shit up.

tl;dr - The show isn't bad but it isn't that good either.  I wish they had just given Lucy Liu her own show as Joan Watson.

I remember the original Turtles show was pretty awful too. The only enjoyment I ever got from the franchise was the first NES game

I loved the toys. That NES game was good but frustrating. I think the later game was superior, honestly, even if it was an overdone format even then. But something about that first one just felt so good.

And the arcade games were amazing.

I saw the new Turtles show.

Not as terrible as I was expecting.

I watched part of a little training session video and it made me want to jump off the edge of the world and see the turtles all the way down.

I saw the new Turtles yesterday.  All four turtles themselves are decent.  I can live with the designs and the spring-chicken youngness about them as--even though they are 15--they come across more as tween turtles than teen turtles.  This is okay.  The Utrom calling each other Krang an' shit gets a pass.  The look of the show and the animation is interesting.... BUT...

- Splinter is all tall (he's kinda scary-looking!) and they're reverting to the Hamato Yoshi backstory but then went fucked with it some more?  NO.  Please do not let his daughter end up being Karai.  Bleh.

- April being made into a little girl, a love interest, given a typical oh-no-my-scientist-daddy-eez-in-danger plotline?  Didn't care for it.  Why the hell couldn't April have been the scientist they wanted to kidnap?  Why would she have to be a little girl?  I don't care if Donny has a crush or whatever.  And I don't hate Mae Whitman or anything, but I think they should've casted someone else.

- The Shredder.  Meh, haven't seen enough of him but he looked all scarred and gross.  And even though he's voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, he sounded like Clancy Brown to me.  Ew.

- "Booyakasha"?  Why would they do even this?

That's it.  B-  Will likely watch again.  Not sure if I'd stick with it or not yet.

I think they did that just so she would be the same age as Donnie, because having a mutated turtle wanting to bone a human woman is ok...but a huge age difference would have been gross.

I would have much rather April been a person more importance. Either the news reporter that helps the turtles while trying to cover up that they exist, or in some other role.

I'll watch again too, but my track record with Sat. morning cartoons on Nick hasn't been great. See Legend of Korra for an example.

I saw the Turtles show. It has that same annoying thing that most 3D animated cartoons have...the face close-ups that drives me up the wall.

Here's what I'm talking about: how they have a head-shot going on with the character going on about something for something like twenty seconds, and all the animation seen during that time is the head moving with waaay overdone facial expressions running the gamut. Okay, we get it, you think you can convey emotion now with CGI. Now knock it off. It's just a cartoon. Bugs the hell out of me.

Otherwise, it wasn't bad, but I won't be DVRing it and therefore won't be seeing much of it again.

Have you seen Avatar: The Last Airbender?  Because if you haven't I'd rather you'd watch that one.  I like Korra but TLA is the superior of the two.  And the entire thing's on DVD and Netflix streaming.
