Oh, and I saw Elementary. Of course, I won't bore you with how it's inferior to Sherlock. We all know this. As much as people bitched about Joan Watson, female Asian Watson is actually the best thing about the show. Poor Lucy Liu would totally shine with a better script but they give her a lot of hackneyed lines and a dull backstory. Just keep her as a surgeon who went to war and came back wounded and shit. What's with this "dead patient, sued for malpractice, visiting grave, boo hoo" crap? Nobody wants to see that Gray's Anatomy bullshit.
Sherlock does not seem in character. He comes off as bratty, misogynistic, tempermental, mean-spirited, and even slutty. Instead of making keen observations of people based on their words, demeanor, dress, and mannerisms, he reads fuckin' labels off of bottles and boxes, Googles shit, and looks at people's cell phones. His observations were obvious, any actual uses of logic and deduction were very little. In fact, Watson's keen eye solves the case. WATSON. The case featured in this episode was boring anyway. Even the scenary and staging were dull to look at. Unlike the gorgeous apartment featured in Sherlock (oops, comparision) with all of its interesting textures and nuances, this Sherlock lives in a fucking shack that's nearly empty inside and leaks fuckin' honey. He's in serious need of a Mrs. Hudson to spruce shit up.
tl;dr - The show isn't bad but it isn't that good either. I wish they had just given Lucy Liu her own show as Joan Watson.
