After the second one. I meant to see one a day but never got around to doing it. From what I saw, I certainly didn't think it was awful. It didn't grab me though like other shows I've followed through with. There is nothing that draws me about the main guy. He's pretty cookie cutter so far aside from mild moodiness. "I'VE BEEN IN STOOPID WAR ME SO MAD NAO." The perky girl is cute and interesting. I <3 Gina Torres in just about anything, but the dude she's supposed to be married to is BORING. I think the hired muscle would be cooler if he had some stronger personalities to work against. The girl in the suitcase is pretty dull and weird-looking but I likes her brother. Black priest and token whore are BLAH. The most interesting thing about the whore is the clothes she wears... or doesn't wear. Whatever. Do we ever get to see a reaver?

They address all of those ?problems? in the show. It takes a few episodes for them to get there. I would tell you to keep watching but if you really aren't into it don't waste your time.

Firefly was one of those shows I needed to see a few episodes of before I get the feel for it. It rewards dogged determination.

I really, really have to get past the fourth episode of Human Target. I loved it when I DVRed it, and I bought the DVD set on the strength of the four shows I watched. But I can't get around to finishing it, because I want to watch it all at once. I just don't have the time to marathon it nor the discipline to piecemeal it.

I know that makes no sense, but that's the case with me.

We just recently got the Hub (Although it could be some kind of Holiday Free Preview) and I saw a couple episodes yesterday, and yeah it was pretty good. Funny that the kids show takes the franchise more seriously then the big budget movie did.

I like how they made Superboy an impatient dick. Nothing would have been worse than if they had just made him Superman Jr.

Also, I'm assuming since they're getting some archer chick, that Speedy will come back as Arsenal, possibly as a rival?

I've never cared for the Arsenal character, but I suppose it's better than a Green Arrow palette-swap.

Green Arrow always sucked until Denny O'Neil gave him a personality in the seventies. Then he shot miraculously non-lethal and now socially-conscious arrows at crooks instead of simply skewering them. So imagine how wonderful his sidekicks would be: Roy (Speedy/Arsenal) wasn't interesting until he got on smack, and Mia Speedy caught teh AIDS as a slutty teen.

Going back to the convo a few pages back, I haven't gotten into Firefly yet either. I've seen a few episodes and while it's different and quirky and somewhat interesting, I wouldn't say it's the best thing ever. I own the movie though, and think that's great.

Last night there was some crap on named after some guy named Oscar. I didn't bother watching it though because syndicated SG1 was on.

Last week ended with the episode where Anubis attacks earth and it was mostly predictable, save for the moment where the old Jaffa guy (what's his name again?) got stabbed. I never thought such an awesome old warrior like him would die. But then O'neill had some sort of healing touch that kinda ruined the drama.
And then the Promethus ran out of ammo (seriously?!!) and Hammond was all casually like "Ram Anubis' ship". And the way he said it was so chalant and non-serious that he could have been talking about taking out the trash. "Oh, where are you going" "just to take out the trash and kill myself by ramming my ship into Anubis' ship..." So probably the most non-exciting season ender I've seen.

But then this week I missed the episode that explained how Jack got out of his Ancient freeze chamber and only saw the next one, where Thor picks up the team to help with the Replicators and some curly-haired emo-boy Replicator dude that looks like the lead singer of Green Day gets this freakish obsessive crush on Sam.
