I watched some of Love, Death & Robots.  I like to watch Poppen Atelier's doll repainting videos on YouTube and she did one of the siren from "Jibaro" so I went and watched that episode and a few more.  I'm not really into the level of gore or sex in some of these.  I do appreciate them on a technical level.

Sonnie's Edge was uncomfortably cringey.  Supposedly, in the story it was based off of, Sonnie drove drunk and fucked herself up.  She was never assaulted.  Which to me makes it a way better story than playing into the "got raeped and I'm tuff nao" icky-ass trope.  I suppose you could come away with the implication that her back story was made up but to have her laugh at Dicko and admit her situation was a moment of shitty judgement on her part would've been the better ending imo than what we got.

For "The Witness," the naked dancing and the guy getting felt up by the latex-chicks bored me. Like the whole story was just the set up for a fetish animation.

"Bad Traveling" was really good.

I don't think I'll watch all of these, but I think I'll chell out a few more that interest me.

Well I'm currently all caught up on She-Hulk, House of the Dragon, and Andor. I still need to catch up on Cobra Kai and What we Do in the Shadows. GF wants me to hurry up and watch The Boys Season 3 so we can talk about it, but I barely have time for TV anymore with the two jobs, the show, and the kid living with me now.

Anybody here watch Lower Decks? Can't remember if I've asked that before.

I was kind of annoyed by the first season, but I stuck with it, and I kind of like it now.

Just so long as they stay away from the jokes that imply the characters have watched every Star Trek episode and movie. I hate that shit.

"This is worse than that time Worf blah-de-blah-de-blah!" Fuck right off.

Speaking of Trek, that teaser for Picard Season 3 looks fucking sick. Why didn't they just do that shit from the beginning?

Yeah I jumped off both Picard and Lower Decks in season one...But an Odyssey Class Enterprise F. Nice. That ship was actually designed by a fan.

But I love Strange New Worlds. That actually kind of feels like a Star Trek show, which most of these other shows they've been making haven't.

Because it's doing what most shows now do where they need to "tease" the plot before delivering the goods when they actually need to deliver the goods to get people to watch in the first place. Similar to how a lot of superhero movies are origin bullshit instead of the hero in their element being cool shit and having fun.

Still Maintain the 1989 Batman did that the best. They gave us the origin, but it is dealt in little bits till we finally get the full origin (that only takes like 5 mins) right before he goes off to face the Joker. Great. Unlike Batman Begins where we get a whole movie about where he trained, how did the get the batsuit, how he got the Batmobile....just ugh. That's why Dark Knight was better. None of that stuff because it was already done. Oh and the Joker.

I finally started watching  the boys Season three but I’m only about two episodes into that and I start watching peacemaker which I’m only one episode in two of that. Boys is just the boys more of the same from the first two seasons but peacemaker is actually pretty great

Watched the first two episodes of that Velma show. Seems pretty good. Actually made me laugh a few times.

All these people up in arms about the sanctity of Scooby-Doo can fuck right off. Warner's been milking the franchise for the last twenty years with nothing but creatively bankrupt assembly line garbage. This is better than all of that.

Fucking Scooby-Doo versus the WWE and shit. Get fucked. Or that recent series that was a carbon copy of the Family Guy format, right down to the non sequitur flashbacks. YUCK.

But oh noes, Mindy Kaling made characters brown that weren't brown before, the horror!

Anyway, I'll be watching it.

I don't watch Scooby Doo that didn't come from the time before I was. Not saying the new stuff is good or bad in that, either, but I'm just not interested.

To be fair, as badly as Scooby-Doo has been dragged through the mud over the decades, it's probably never been so awful as all the clone shows Hanna-Barbera cranked out in the years following the original...

Just the tip of the iceberg. :joe:

But then I watched the third episode and already the animation is starting to look kind of sloppy and rushed? Maybe I'm just too much of a stickler.

Watched the first episode of the Arnold documentary. I'll probably watch the second and ditch the third. Based on his behavior patterns in my years of observing him, his handling of his family life, and his comments regarding the deaths of his father and brother, the man fits the definition of narcissist.

I started watching a show called PSI Cops! The exclamation mark is in the title. It has the look of a shoddy asset flip you would pay $15 for on Steam, but obviously that's intentional and part of its charm. The humor is completely arbitrary and absurd, and I'm really liking it so far. A little reminiscent of Tigtone, if I had to compare it to anything.

Also, Brian Drummond is in it! You can still totally hear the Vegeta in his delivery.

I watched that new Superman cartoon because there's a free episode (or at least part 1 of it) on YouTube. It's not the most offensive thing by a mile. I like Lois and Clark but not much else in it. The weirdest thing about it is that it's airing at midnight on Adult Swim when back in our day it would've been the opening show on the early Saturday evening block. I don't understand this world anymore.

They made Lois super cute. I approve.

As for the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim thing, it seems like they've drawn a hard line between the two. CN is for young kids, AS is for everyone else. I was wondering the same thing about Unicorn being on AS, I'm guessing it comes down to depictions of violence, regardless of how tame they are.

At least they did it right and let him keep his trunks. I'll have to find this and watch it, as Superman remains my all-time favorite superhero...just call me Bibbo.

I actually agree with that. But I’m worried about anyone that comes in and hasn’t seen Rebels. It’s almost required viewing to know what is happening.

People had been saying that for a while, so I started watching an episode a day of Rebels back in May. Boy, it was rough starting out, but Seasons 3 and 4 were mostly legit.

It's kind of like how early days ST:TNG is a bunch of crap, but you need that character familiarity for when it finally picks up.

Oh yeah, I’m trying to watch through rebels . I started it but I never finished it. So I think I’m missing some stuff here but boy it really is a slog at first.

And the Harley Quinn show has gone from one of my favorite shows to one of my least favorite shows. I don’t know what happened, but holy shit now

I feel like Harley Quinn has always been wildly inconsistent. The highs are high, the lows are LOW, and there's no rhyme or reason as to when the shifts are going to happen. For instance, I thought the setup for this season opened strong, but the last several weeks have been an absolute mess.

Let's be real, it's just bootleg Venture Bros. at this point.

I pulled the fourth season of Harley but just didn't bother watching it. It was a chore for me to get through more often than not.

Ahsoka kind of shit itself over the course of the season. Culminating in
Spoiler (hover to show)
, arguably one of the stupidest things we've been subjected to in new school St*r WarzzZZ thus far.

Also, a "conclusion" that's nothing but setup for a second season. Man...

I binged the first three episodes of Krapopolis. I think I laughed twice. It's like these animated sitcoms aren't allowed to be funny anymore, or something. Please cancel.
