JJ 2 was a little iffy for me in the middle, but overall I'd call it more consistent than the first season. Netflix's Marvel shows typically shit themselves in the second half, but this and Punisher managed to avoid that in my mind.
Did you watch Luke Cage? Awesome premise, and then it just devolves into absolute schlock. Iron Fist was bland from start to finish, and Defenders was an unmitigated disaster. And I know having them all come together as a team was always the plan from the very beginning, but they could have skipped that shit altogether and nothing of value would have been lost.
They've said straight up that there won't be a second Defenders, so at least we're on the same page there.
I wonder if Rosario Dawson will just end up a fixture on a single show, or if she'll chell out after this. She wasn't in this new one. In fact, they don't allude to any of the other shows here, other than Daredevil's buddy showing up for all of five seconds. Wait. Carrie-Anne Moss does mention "Rand" at one point, but it's completely throwaway dialogue.
