I was wondering why the actors from that show were making a late night appearance together.  That explains it.

I've never watched anything Twin Peaks.  Is the new stuff on regular TV or something?

Not regular TV. Showtime. The streaming app subscription is more affordable than some of the other cable channel apps. (HBO is like $16, Showtime is like $10).

If you don't want to pay, wait until the season is all posted on the app and then do the free trial and watch it all then and cancel the trial.

You can also get the episodes on some other services, like Amazon VOD.

I keep trying to watch season 4 of Arrested Development but it sucks so I keep stopping....but now that a new season is coming Ill have to toughen up and finish it. I heard that some producer is planning on cutting the 4 season and "re-pasting" the scenes in a more linear way, like the other seasons. I hope they do that because now its a fuck-fest and I cant even remember which episode I watched last .

I was trying to watch my alma mater play a down-state rival school in a baseball regional last night. Now, I hate baseball, but it's State. Since it was on ESPN3, I couldn't watch it on satellite, and, of course, there's no WatchESPN app for the satellite or TV, so I watched it on my phone over the DSL and mirror it to the TV...which mean the picture was crap because I have crap internet and both download and mirror streams were over the same wireless connection. I finally grew a brain cell and tried downloading the app for PS4, which worked (eventually) but ironically had an even worse picture.

What a bunch of ignorant shit. A thousand apps for the satellite and TV, and none of them include the online-only stream of one of the main reasons to have both. To be honest, I'm happy to hear that ESPN is cratering in subscribers and ad revenue. I hate the one-gargantuan-sports-channel-to-rule-them-all thing.

BTW, since I know what sports fans you guys are, State won both must-win games of the doubleheader against the Mustard Buzzards to advance to the super regional of the college world series.

I'm making a team called "the Mustard Buzzards" much cooler in my head than I'm sure they are in reality.

I remember trying to watch the Netflix Arrested Development. What the hell. It looks so brutally cheap and haphazard. That fucking wig they stuck on Portia de Rossi. Jesus Christ.

I'll never go back!

Portia de Rossi looks fucked up but not only from that wig, also from the anorexia and the million plastic surgeries she has had.

Also idk if you noticed but a lot of the scenes with George Michael dont really have him in there (he had to record his scenes somerwhere else so at the end they just stitched him with the other actors).

SO
Ive been watching Twin Peaks (currently on the first ep of the second season). I have to say I love the music, and all the David Lynch-ey typical stuff. But I have to say the story is a liiiiittle slow and a liiiiittle boring. Does it get better soon? Who was a fan of this show, was it Rama? Cant remember.

Kyle MacLaghan is so hot btw, he looks like Keanu . And him being an FBI agent in this is a plus

Not me. I'm not a fan of Lynch on a whole (Don't get me started on that shit pile Wild at Heart) but I did like The Elephant Man and Dune.

I don't think I've ever actually seen Twin Peaks. I'd give it a shot, but I wasn't the fan.

So I finished watching the original seasons of Twin Peaks and Im up to episode 8 of the new season. I actually like this new season more than the first two. I can appreciate a good mind-fuck and ep 8 was the mind fuck of all mindfucks. I also watched the 1992 movie (Fire Walk with Me) which is supposedly a must if you are going to watch the new season, and the movie was ok.

About the new Castlevania show on Netflix, it's a nice precursor to something we'll only start to see a year from now.

Seriously, everything that was done could have all been in a single extended episode rather than four. Yes, the world-building is handy, but is it really necessary for what is at its heart a Dracula tale? Other than making the Church the main antagonist rather than, you know, the greatest horror villain of all-time, not a lot was accomplished toward actually telling a story besides getting the gang together...and even then they're still one short.

But it looks good. Really good. I was underwhelmed by some of the celebrity VA performances, primarily Armitage's Trevor Belmont, but four episodes makes it hard to judge on this merit.

Anyway, I'm in for season 2, but I hope they actually do something by then. I just hope I don't forget about it, seeing as it will be next freaking year....

I started Castlevania, as well, but it hasn't really impressed me so far.

Also been watching The IT Crowd.

I started watching gamers on YouTube.  The dude I'm watching now is playing Oxygen Not Included, which I sorta want to try and I sorta freakin' don't.

Californication. I love DD but the whole series seem like a complete circlejerk about how awesome he is, how many chicks he gets etc etc. Its a bit tedious tbh and cant wait to finish it (Im on season 5). Mulder 4ever.

I remember seeing the first episode of that show and getting that feeling.  As I don't have teh love for teh Mulder like you and my sis do, I immediately dropped the show after that.

I've been watching the new Star Trek show, and frankly I find myself not really caring about it. I'm probably going to give it a couple more episodes do actually do something worthwhile in a worthwhile manner before unceremoniously dropping it.

On the other hand, I hear The Orville is actually pretty good and scratches that Star Trek itch nicely. I may start pulling some of those episodes and giving it a shot, despite my aversion to Seth MacFarlane.

Let me know if you like it.  I just really don't care for Seth either but if the stories are any good, I may chell it out just the same.

As for the new Trek, well, I knew they were gonna kill Michelle's character.  I hoped they wouldn't but I knew they would...

[I added in spoiler space here because it just occurred to me that I don't know how far into the series you are.]

....and then she gets eaten by those shitty excuses for Klingons.  And I read these spoilers because I wasn't gonna actually watch the show and get disappointed in real time.  Fuck off, Discovery.  Fuck right off with you.

I read the spoiler after scrolling all the way down and then paging up. Oh, well, I didn't know for sure what they were going to do, but I'm not surprised as the Klingaren'ts hate her about as much as I do. They did their dead-level best to make the character unlikeable, so it figures.

They finished off the Klingon threat early enough to set up the 2 month cliffhanger. Mirror Universe, I'll bet. And Burnham isn't Klingon fertilizer. Oh, well.

Also, that guy they pulled it off the Klingon clink? He's the pasty Klingon who followed T'Cuvma and got told he had to give up everything to fight the Federation. I thought that when I saw the Klingon chick was his captor, it's a pretty popular theory on the webs, and the flashback stuff they've been giving us makes me all the more certain.

Watching the live action series of Ouran Host Club. Terrible, terrible terrible. If the guy who plays Tamaki and Kyoya werent qts I would have stopped watching after the first 5 minutes. Fortunately its only 11 eps long and im on ep 6.
