I was trying to watch my alma mater play a down-state rival school in a baseball regional last night. Now, I hate baseball, but it's State. Since it was on ESPN3, I couldn't watch it on satellite, and, of course, there's no WatchESPN app for the satellite or TV, so I watched it on my phone over the DSL and mirror it to the TV...which mean the picture was crap because I have crap internet and both download and mirror streams were over the same wireless connection. I finally grew a brain cell and tried downloading the app for PS4, which worked (eventually) but ironically had an even worse picture.
What a bunch of ignorant shit. A thousand apps for the satellite and TV, and none of them include the online-only stream of one of the main reasons to have both. To be honest, I'm happy to hear that ESPN is cratering in subscribers and ad revenue. I hate the one-gargantuan-sports-channel-to-rule-them-all thing.
BTW, since I know what sports fans you guys are, State won both must-win games of the doubleheader against the Mustard Buzzards to advance to the super regional of the college world series.
