Pirates!

I will say that I enjoyed it more than 2 and 3, but less than the original. Still, it was mostly entertaining. I wouldn't be offended if they decided to do more, which is probably inevitable.

I'm okay with them doing more if they don't try to force another trilogy. Let the stories stand on their own for the most part, please.

Really?  I haven't fallen asleep at the movies since King Kong.  And while I hated Pirates 3, it was atleast wasn't this boring.

Did anyone catch the trailer for that Hugh Jackman Rock Em Sock Em Robots movie?

The Mechanic.

Wasn't bad.  Probably wouldn't watch it again though.

Ha ha, Real Steel.  A co-worker was showing me that shit on his iPhone when the trailer first came out and I swear I thought it was a joke.

I don't know what Jackman was thinking. Was he having a dry spell, or was the money-to-effort ratio just too good to pass up, or what?

Watching Superman Batman Apocalypse

Everything was fine until I heard Darkseid's voice.

It's just some black guy talking.  That's what they came up with for his voice.

Yeah. I'm not sure why Michael Ironside wasn't available. Looks like everything he's done since then is character bits.

That's because it's the god damn Kevin Conroy voicing him, the man who's voiced Batman for the past 20 or so years in almost every project.

The director has been working on superhero stuff for about 7 year, including what is actually my favorite of the DC animated films so far: Wonder Woman.

The writer really hasn't done anything like this before, so props to him (though apparently he did story for Gorillas in the Mist, huh).

Yeah, I really wish they wouldn't just get random voice actors like that.  Ironside had that locked.  There was no room for improvement.  I just wish Conroy was also in Young Justice.  Bruce Green-face-dilly ain't bad, but he ain't no Conroy.

Firestorm, probably.

Michael Ironside was the voice of Darkseid in the Justice League, Justice League Unlimited and Superman animated series.

It had to be Firestorm. Firestar is a Marvel character that first showed up in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends.

If you're thinking The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians, it was Frank Welker. He used his Dr. Klaw from Inspector Gadget/multiple evil ghosts from Real Ghostbusters/non-altered Soundwave voice for his Darkseid.

But that flick should have been called Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. The guy was barely in it.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Bangkok Dangerous.

Amazingly, not the worst Cage movie out there. But his frequent inner monologues were fucking hilarious.

Green Hornet and Guliver's Travels.

Neither was a bad as people said. Not to say they were good...just their badness was a little played up. Although Guliver's Travels was the worse of the two, but Green Hornet would have been a lot better without Seth Rogen.

Yeah!  I think that voice suits darkseid best.

Batman may have been in some scenes even if we didn't see him.  He's batman.

Yeah, felt a little ripped off by the lack of Batman but appeased by the combination of WW and Big Barda.  :aroused:

I actually managed to sit through a good amount of Eat, Pray, Love, a film which basically amounts to author self-wank.  The woman has success, men who love her, and she's all "boo hoo, but WHO ams i" and flees to Italy, India, and Bali where she meets other self-important tourists with nothing better to do and all the little natives are so goddamn grateful she's there for whatever fool reason.

Right now I'm re-watching Chronos.

I also saw this film called Falling For Grace which was decent.

This is what I'm expecting as my reaction too.

I saw most of kung fu panda 2 on a pirate stream site.

It's ok, but not as good as the first one.
