"Fearless" by Video Villain.  I love Video Villain.  Very stylish, quirky duo that makes great music.  http://www.myspace.com/videovillain

EW!  NoooOOOOOOoooo!  :nurinono:

I'm listening to the Colton Ford cover of "Losing My Religion".  The song is fucking catchy but the video is embarassingly ridiculous.  It's like Colton Ford had a booger hanging out of his nose and people just snickered and didn't tell him anything...  Except the booger in this case is 4:21 long and is on YouTube.  It was directed by a Carl Byrd.  Why, Carl Byrd?  Why do you hate Colton Ford so much?

Deftones - Passenger

Is this thread here to broaden our musical horizons?
I never understood the point of these things, I mostly listen to electronica(synthpop, darkwave, industrial) sprinkled with 90s alternative music to remind me of my tender youth.

I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Stand by Me- Oasis.

5 years after having found my copy scratched to hell and unplayable and remembering that I gave my extra copy away I reaquired the only Oasis album I was missing "Be Here Now." and I had forgot how much I liked this album. Sad to think they followed this up with "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants."

Curiousity with a possibility of musical horizon sprinkling.

The dominant music in my life appears to change every thirteen years.  Early years were contemporary pop, music of the day for the 80's with some of the late 70's.  Then I started listening to KMDFM, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, and added the Offspring and Gravity Kills and stuff of the like.  And then a few years ago I really got bitten by electronica-tinged dance pop and remixes.  I practically hated remixes forever and now whenever I here a song I like, I go and see if there are any good remixes.  I really like The Golden Filter, Little Boots and Video Villain (who were orginally part of the same group called Dead Disco), and T.H.E.M.  Any remix that's by The Golden Filter, Sidechains, and Designer Drugs is usually gold.  I still like the stuff I used to like, I just listen to Billy Joel and KMDFM less than I used to.  Sometimes I'm looking to try something new so I'll look up a song or group someone's posted.

For the last few years I haven't listened to alot of new music, I  do not listen to the radio unless I'm out of town in Atlanta or something and I can pick up an alternative rock station like 99x.
Every once in awhile I'll go to amazon and read listmanias about synthpop or listen to rantradio's industrial channel and that's where I'll get ideas on what to download and try out then order from Metropolis Mail Order, though I don't really buy CDs anymore.
One of those bands I found on amazon was Inertia. They are vaguely KMFDM-esque. Can't find where I got the download from but I only have their self titled album, they have a few videos on youtube but I can't vouch for if they are any good or not.

album on amazonhttp://www.amazon.com/Inertia/dp/B000OYPRVY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1249818821&sr=1-3

Currently listening to:
Inertia- Paralyzed

Looking at the list on the Metropolis website, I like theSTART, the Epoxies (who've split, the singer how heads Roxy Epoxy and the Rebound), IAMX, Mindless Self Indulgence, and some of PIG (Raymond Watts, formerly of KMFDM who still performs w/ them), though PIG is hit and miss with me.  Girls Under Glass put out an interesting cover of "Frozen" (the one by Madonna), Funker Vogt covered "Gett Off" (by Prince) which I liked, and Julien-K's "Technical Difficulties" was at the end of the first Transformers movie, probably the only thing I liked about of it aside from Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving's performances.  And I love "Down at McDonnellzzzzz" by Electric Six.  I have some Client and Apoptygma Berzerk on my comp but I haven't gotten around to listening to it yet.  I have some free stuff by Angelspit that's decent.

Radio gives me rage.  The only tolerable station for me is the classic rock one.

Have you listened to Ayria?  Ayria was actually recommended to me by Amazon of all things but I really like her/them.  (It's a group but I've seen the lead singer called Ayria, too.)  http://www.ayria.com/

Listening to "Bad List" by Ayria.

i have been looking for a female fronted duet that parted years ago that used to get alot of play on rantradio, now I cannot find hide nor hare of them, but for some reason I keep getting directed toward Ayria when I am looking for them. Wish I could remember the damn name...
I haven't listened to any Ayria to my knowledge. I'll have to see if any of those other groups you mentioned are downloadable but I've heard Girls Under Glass, Funker Vogt, and own a couple Apop albums(Harmonizer is my fav).

OKAY okay so Jennifer Parkin who was the vocalist for Epsilon Minus left to form Ayria, so essentially she IS Ayria, which is why I kept getting directed to her, only wikipedia never mentions Epsilon Minus.
Still as great as I remember.

Ooooh, lol, you were referring to Epsilon Minus!  D'oh.  Incidentally, "Through" is my favorite EM song ever.  I was kinda annoyed though because it seems there are at least two versions of "Through" and the one commercially available is not the one I prefer.  It sounds a little more raw than the one on the EM album.  I ended up recording it from Sound Flavor a long time ago.  Ayria also does what seems to be another version of Power Down on the two disc edition of her latest album, "Hearts and Bullets".  I'm not certain how/if it's different because I haven't really paid attention like I did with "Through".

Ayria used to include a guy named Shaun Frandsen who went on form Glis.  You can listen and dl some Glis here:  http://www.isound.com/glis

That same site has some free Epsilon Minus, including the post-Jennifer Parkin stuff which I like less:  http://www.isound.com/epsilon_minus

As well as some free Ayria: http://www.isound.com/ayria

Her website made my eyes go out of focus. Too much pale red.

The last song I listened to was the opening theme for "League of Gentlemen"

Well, if this thing is to show off new music no one has heard of...

Hammerfall - Any Means Necessary
Bloodbound

These guys sound very very 80's hair metal. The lead singer's voice also sounds familiar, like an 80's metal band... I'm not sure who he reminds me of though. It's awesome music though.

I was listening to "No Time For You" by the Commands, who were apparently formed here in SA at Lackland AFB in the 60's.  My dad has me looking up his old people music.
