What?? ah I forgot they did an horrendous american version of that movie. I was going to say, in the real La Cage Aux Folles, the butler, Jacob is black and I think he's from some part of France, but can't remember well. Def from some francophone country, except Haiti cause he didn't have that very particular accent.

I haven't seen either one. All I know is that the remake one looked like an annoying, cliche-reliant film despite that admittedly funny performers are in it.

I saw the remake in the Theater. I went through a whole period in the 90s where I had lots disposeable income and not much to spend it on and so I went to the movie often even if I wanted to see a movie or not. I went to see Kull The Conquer of godsake....and I was the only one in the theater.
