I watched some Ghost Slayers Ayashi or something. I had seen some of it before, but apparently it had more episodes than I thought because I don't remember there being 30 of them.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko was a cute show. After transferring to a city school, a guy moves in with weird aunt with a daughter nobody knows about with hints that she may be otherworldly and wears a futon rolled over her. The show is about him getting his cousin to some semblance of normalcy and making a few friends along the way. Nothing really deep or pervy or anything...just, cute.

Gargantia is a very pretty show. I've only watched the first two or three episodes, though.

Freezing was irritating but fun to watch. Hope the second season is better, because there were lots of questions that weren't answered.

I remember when there was this hate for Christopher Sabat in this forums ages ago.
I don't think I mentioned it here but he was at a convention I went to a couple months ago and so I got to meet him in person. He's a pretty nice guy.

Also, I don't think I mentioned this before either, but I also met Shinichi Watanabe, AKA Nabeshin, the creator of (anime) Excel Saga and Nerima Daikon Brothers. I actually dressed up as him, went to one of his panels. Then he invited me up on stage, and then had us both leave the stage and then walk back on stage while he asked the audience which one was the real Nabeshin. He seemed pretty cool but knew little english so I had to talk through a translator.

I've seen Eva 3.33, and it made little sense. I don't want to say any more so as not to spoil it.

Right now I'm watching Attack on Titan which is currently being created/broadcast. The series is being made by Production I.G. and it's amazing, and if there's any series you watch this year you should watch this.

It's set in a European-style feudal era world where retarded derpy-faced giants (the Titans) attacked mankind and started eating people, so the survivors of humanity walled up in a giant area behind a series of concentric walls, the largest being about 600mi in diameter. In the beginning of the series the giants haven't attacked since the walls went up, but then a giant skinless Titan appears and smashes through the outer wall. Mankind retreats into the next inner wall. The main character witnesses people being eaten alive and vows to kill all the Titans, and joins the military to do so. After he graduates, the giant skinless Titan attacks the inner wall, and he has to go into battle. The soldiers in this use what is called 3D maneuver gear, a type of steam-powered grappling system, and dual swords.

It's dramatic, it's bloody, main characters get eaten alive, and just about every episode ends in a cliffhanger. Plus, there's several plot twists. So far it's an amazing series. I'm up to the latest episode but won't spoil it for anyone.

For the record, I've never heard anything bad about Sabat as a human being. I've even enjoyed some of his work. His Vegeta is still an auditory shitpile though. To this very day, it still makes me cringe. At least that makes it all the funnier when it's being copied for DBZ Abridged.

Regarding the discussion on Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere from something like page 59.

I have put this show to the Doze Test. My Doze Test basically consists of the following parameters: A) go to bed, B) start watching after 10PM, C) pickup where left off previously|start new show, D) count the number of episodes before either dozing off or through gargantuan force of will actively finishing an episode and managing to properly turn the HTPC & TV off. If the answer is 3 or more, I'm hooked. If it's 1 or 2, there's reason for optimism. If I can't get through one episode, Houston, we have a problem. And if that episode is in the last half of the season, we have a REAL problem.

After forcing myself to watch the second season of Horizon up to episode 9, it took two nights to finish 9 and last night was the second night on episode 10, and I STILL haven't finished it. It therefore cannot receive a recommendation from me. There are parts that were fun, particularly in the second half of the first season, but this season has been dreck when they became mired in historical reference and constantly changing the rules things are going by. I can tell that there's a huge overarching storyline, probably in a manga, that they can't get put in animated form with any sort of timeliness or coherence. If this is anything to go by, I'm not on board for a third season, if there's even one planned.

Exactly, dude. I saw the one with the carrot, pepper, and milk yesterday. And then I saw the one with the girl martial artist was getting challenged for the title she won since she's 12 instead of 13. I forget the names but also part of the Young Animators thingamabob. Not as memorable as Little Witch Academia or Death Billiards in either titles or content, but still very enjoyable. You can tell that no matter what it's about, the animators were really enjoying what they were making. That's awesome.

Gargantia is over at 13 eps. It was a great little series and everyone should watch it.

Buta. I just watched that one. I also saw Ojisan no Lamp or whatever it was called. I was kinda bored with that one. It looked very nice though.

It's about one of the characters being based on an old Japanese general that was around during some massacres in Korea.

Yeah someone was theorizing that was it, and it probably is that. Did you see any actual non-retarded threat posts that confirm that? I'm just curious cause if you read the first round of actual threats they're just so redundant and pointless.

I recently watched 8 minutes or so of Devil and Realist (Think that was the name). It's an interesting plot about a mortal who gets to choose the ruler of the demon world...unfortunately it's a gay shoujo anime so I'm sure they and all the yaoi girls will love it.

There's this little show called Ghost in the Shell: Arise that just cranked up. It's apparently a series of four OVAs chronicling the origins of the Section 9 team. The first one landed a couple weeks ago, and the next comes out late November.

It's good stuff. Go watch it.
