Ditto, UNLESS it was converted to a female ala Ultimate Spider-Man. Then I'd be all over myself.
I said its hot outside let me go swimming in your eyes;
We been running for awhile. Why don't you lay dow, I'll make you smile.
I could never ask for nothing better than this;
It's just tequila and the beach, it's quite salty when we kiss.

I ♥ L.  What a freak.  Too bad he bites it.

Saiunkoku's kinda losing me here.  It's a sweet show and I would've possibly loved it if I saw it, like, ten years ago.  A lot of it just doesn't seem original enough.  But it still has some endearing characters, so I went ahead and put Season 1, Part 2 in my queue.

Merla and I started Tweeny Witches.  It's kinda fun, creative, and has a nice look, but the cheapness of it kinda downgrades it to a low B instead of a decent A.  There's several scenes where we see part of an arm or a leg or half a body or a weird piece of scenery for as long as a minute of dialogue and it happens frequently.  I'm aware this is a common shortcut for a lot of shows, but it's at a ridiculous level here.  Why are we looking at legs this long?  Come on.

Gurren Lagann's second half is somewhat disappointing me, as it's not as silly and cartoony as the first half. It's all uber serious and crap. I'll have to see how it goes.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Devil May Cry - sorry, Dante's dialogue & the dub VA reminds me of Calvin pretending to be Tracer Bullet.

The first episode was interesting, but I haven't gotten farther than that yet.

Merla and I saw Paradise Kiss.  I don't know what they were thinking at the end.  It kinda fell apart a little there.

PK copped out.  Caroline should have gone to Paris with George and Isabella or at least gotten into a pile with them.  Not like she's going to find a really gorgeous shemale to hang with after she goes to school and gets married to that clown her mother picked out.  And she could have - George was a real kink in the manga.

Didn't get Claymore - got Twelve Kingdoms instead, so now I'm going through that.  This is the second time Netflix has yanked something out of the middle of my queue to send and goofed me up.

Gurren Lagann's ending did not disappoint.

Going through School Rumble now. Also almost done with Macross Frontier.

Finished Champaloo, liked the ending. Finished first season of Higurashi, loved that series.

Claymore is well worth it. Ending could have been better.

Maybe Netflix is possessed of wisdom beyond my feeble comprehension because Twelve Kingdoms is exactly suiting me right now.  The bugger is long, though - 45 episodes, and I heard it ends with a dangling plot line.  :-\

I really like Twelve Kingdoms though.  Yeah, there's some unresolved issues, but some other things (such as Yoko's story) do get resolved so I thought it balanced out decently.

As for PK, I really grew to dislike Caroline by that last disc.  I'm glad George and Isabella sailed off without her.

I should be getting the Wallflower from Netflix today or tomorrow, since Part II of Ouran has a million mile wait.  I hope I like it.

10 episodes to go.  Damn, I'm getting tired of Suzu the weeping willow.  She needs to start knitting sweaters out of her tears, like Sponge Bob did for Squidward.  ::)

I've noticed I can't spell while listening for the pizza dude.  The promise of spinach alfredo crusty goodness creates overload.

Wallflower first struck me as something I'd really hate, and it turned out to be hilarious.  The only problem is that the premise tended to get stale.

Finished Twelve Kingdoms Saturday.  Now why does a good series like that end prematurely when some seem to go on forever with multiple shark-jumpings and bad live-action movies?

And interesting how Kyou Kara Maoh Volume 5 is still on Very Long Wait status (the one where everyone comes to Earth) after I've gone through my queue three times as well as the Medicine Peddler disc for Ayakashi Samurai Horror Tales.  Fucking fangirls pretending they got lost in the mail - feh.

Drive to SA and borrow my copy of 5.  :D

Wallflower Vol 3 got a wait on it.  I was hoping to get it today, but the new Wolverine toon is coming instead.  I had that one above Wallflower, not expecting it to come anytime soon.  Meanwhile, the fangirls are taking forever with Ouran.

The one I'm still pissed about is Part 2 of season one of Saiunkoku.  That's three discs long and Netflix has Part 3 (also three discs long).  Who in their right mind would get any of Part 3 without seeing three whole discs (12 to 15 episodes) that precede them?  Stupid Netflix.
I love escargot!  Is that so wrong?

I'll probably end up buying Season 2 of KKM - liked it much better than 1.  Josak telling Conrart to admit that he loves him is priceless.

Yeah, WTF with Netflix not having the beginnings of series?  I wanted to try Orphen again, another oldie I wasn't in the mood for when I first saw it, and they don't have the first two discs.  I can't believe it would be popular enough now for them to constantly be out, so why even have the third disc available?

I think I might've liked 1 better than 2, but 1 seems to be full of a lot more filler.  I didn't get the box set for 1 because I didn't think I'd want all of them, so I only bought 1-3 and vol. 6.  I have 2, 3, and 5 of season 2.  What episode in season 2 did Josak tell Conrart that?

Merla and I are watching Noein now.

On a non-anime related note, Wolverine and the X-Men (it was the first 3 eps) was decent, but--and I guess this is because of my age since it was never a problem before with other animated versions of the X-men--it's just plain funny to have Wolverine whip out his claws and then jump-kick and bitch-slap people in order to get the job done.  It could also be it's just more obvious in this show than it was in others.

They, Wolfram & Yuri went off into some snowy wilds to find a healing plant and something about the place they were in made everyone paranoid.  Josak & Conrart ended up fighting and Yuri went all Demon King as usual and saved the day (yawn).  He said it after they got back.

Got the Read or Die OVA for a quick revisit - I like to clear my palate between epic series with something brief.  Funny how it never gets on any steampunk anime lists, even though plenty of people saw it on CN.

On disc 3 of Claymore.  Raki annoyed the hell out of me, so I didn't start getting interested until the went back to Clare's childhood and brought Teresa in.   I notice that happens a lot with series animes - I'm falling asleep during the first 3-4 episodes, then suddenly it gets good.

I thought about putting GTO in my queue but I think some discs were missing last I checked.  I own the first disc so I don't care about that one, but a couple of the others were also gone I think.

Merla and I saw the Tsubasa Chronicles movie and it was decent.  I watched vol. 1 of the series and it kinda drags.  Syaoran and Sakura just aren't interesting enough to pull a whole series with them.  Fai and Kurogane seemed to be more fun (and they were in the movie as well) but it's not about them so boo-hoo.  Unless Merla really liked it or something, I'm gonna pass on this most likely.

Merla also had the XXXholic movie in her queue (that was shown with TC in Japanese theaters).  It seemed decent but a little dull.  The character designs are freaky.  I know CLAMP has their style, but the people are just deformed in this thing!  Torsos and limbs go on for miles and heads are itty-bitty tiny.  It's like watching spider-people, it's uber-disturbing.  And I thought the lack of noses in Oban Star Racers weirded me out.

I finally saw vol. 3 of Wallflower after a long wait and frankly it's gotten Excel-itis.  I know a lot of people really like Excel Saga, but it just got too damn wacky and off the wall for me.  Wackiness is like cologne: less is more.  There's so much screaming and arm-waving and super-deformedness and flopping around and it just starts to look stupid.  It did have it's good points, but the first episode on the disc was really trying my patience.

Excel didn't bother me too much with the wackiness, since that was the whole point.  But Wallflower doesn't really move forward with anything...but it's typical of manga-derived anime whose production ends before the manga's done.

I downloaded and burned Macross: Do You Remember Love? onto a DVD and loved it.  I've been wanting to see that movie since something like 1996 or '97.  Currently downloading the Macross Frontier series, to see if it's worth a crap.  I'm betting it is.  Then I might tackle Macross 7.

I'm working on burning the Eva 1.0 movie to disk.  It's been a pain but I've got it figured out now.  Looking forward to that.

I realize that was the point, but it was overkill.  I like stuff to be somewhat zany, but it looked like it was trying too hard.  "Look at me, I'm funny!"  Like Animaniacs would do.  I had to quit after the second disc.

Yay, finished Ouran.

Merla kept Tsubasa in the queue so I guess we're finishing that one up.  She's in serious denial that Sakura's brother Toya is gay.  Poor thing.

Awaiting release of Claymore 6 in July, although I don't think I'm going to be very happy with the outcome from what I've heard.  Got Highlander: The Search For Vengeance - nice - and Le Portrait de Petit Cossette, which was more lolicon than I expected.  Liked it, that aside, but also a bit too much obscure weirdness for its own sake rather than as a means to an end.  Kinda came off as Gankutsuou's three-toothed cousin.

Got Saiyuki after realizing that Ilich Guardiola whom I liked so much as Durand was Gojyo and am quite enjoying it. Another reminder to give things I didn't like as grainy fansubs a second chance.  But once again, Netflix is missing discs 3 & 6, termed "unavailable".  Guess we have naked Sanzo butt on those or something. ::) I like it well enough to buy the series and I can still watch them online, but it's still annoying.
