So far they aren't dead yet. It took a few episodes before it was really worth watching...I binged eps 2-6, which helped. I'm not bowled over, but so far it's been good enough to watch despite not explaining what the hell they're actually supposed to be doing.
I hate the pacing of Ancient Magus' Bride. It's like a two episode beat: big thing happens at the end of the first episode, which is resolved in the second which doesn't end before setting up the next two-beat. And they've really not done anything worthwhile besides put Chise in a bind and watch her wiggle out of it.
Dragon Ball Super is winding down. There's a bit of controversy in that they're going on hiatus at the end of the month and therefore (finally) winding up the tournament arc, but there's some question as to whether they're actually going to pick it back up next year. In any case, Goku finally mastered the Ultra Instinct and is fighting another powered up version of Jiren this week. Hopefully they'll finish the fight this week and do the wrap-up the following week, which is more interesting than the actual final bout to me.
Killing Bites sucks. I haven't dropped it, but it sucks.
Strangely, despite being fairly boilerplate in its approach, Beatless has been a familiar kind of fun. It's not good, but it isn't bad, either. It makes for good casual viewing. I assume they'll start dropping all the big corporate entity wrongdoing revelations soon and have them fixed by those robot girls they wrongdid with along with the moribund little whelp who treats them like people.
I haven't watched Garo since episode 12. I liked it up to that point, so I decided to hold off and binge the rest of it in hopes that it's as awesome as it better be, by Gar.
I started Made in Abyss, but it's as hard for me to watch starting out as I thought it'd be. It may just not be my type, but I kept it in the queue since, as Joe alluded to, it's supposed to be great. I'll see.
Dagashi Kashi season 2 has been a snoozer. The first season was animated totally by Hotaru (the purple-haired big-chested chick), and the second season has basically gotten rid of her. Coconuts isn't enough to hold a show on his own; he just has no personality. Hopefully they figure it out...the episodes are short, so I'll keep seeing it, but it's really been dull as hell.
And that's my current take on my current watch list.
