So I'm watching Eyeshield 21 still but unfortunately, I can see it going off the rails. It's obvious it had manga-not-finished-itis and tried to stretttttttccccchhhhh the story as far as it could go, which did it no favors. This is especially noticeable with the entire second half and most of the earlier charm and momentum gets lost. I don't get why they don't save the money and conclude it properly. I'm sure there's some legit business reason or whatever, but it seems more cost effective to budget a series with the current material, stop, and crank out ovas or a second series to conclude it or continue it properly. And the censoring and odd rearrangement of sequences is also unfortunate. Scenes like Sena throwing the finger, the smoking, and the blackjack all got cut out. It'd be awesome to see this get a proper reboot someday. I doubt it would ever happen tho'.

More likely they just don't care.

I watched the first two episodes of Wan Pan Man, and I actually like it quite a bit. It's hard for me not to be cynical, but I really hope they can keep the ball rolling.

I quit watching Gundam a long time ago. I enjoyed G Gundam though, mainly because it was corny as hell.

I watched Non Non Biyori the other day. What a nice little show! It's like a lower key version of Azumanga Daioh out in the sticks. I understand there's a second season of this coming, and I'm looking forward to that.

I saw some of Erased. Why is it being called Erased anyway? I know that's much easier than Boku waku hoochie coochie or whatever its actual name is. But why Erased and not, like, Revival or Back Then or the Satoru Files or I dunno... Seems like there could've been a more fitting English title somewhere.

I haven't started watching that one despite having downloaded every episode to my server. I've got a couple series like that. I'm currently watching Dimension W, Phantom World, AssClass2, and a couple others I'm not remembering at work.

I wish there was something I could really be excited about like One Punch Man. Or something in the Fate franchise along the lines of Fate/Zero in tone and presentation. Looking at the upcoming Spring 2016 lineup, Flying Witch and Space Patrol Luluco look like they could be interesting. And I'll probably chell out Sinbad no Bouken.

Watched Flying Witch. It was about a 6/10 but then tacked on a lol 10/10 ending. I don't know if I'll stick with this because most of the episode was boring. I guess because it's very mellow and slow-paced. And I've heard they don't have a great deal of material.

I watched Ajin. It wasn't terrible or anything. It was sufficiently engaging. But by the end of it, I was really annoyed by the main guy. At one point, the show shifts focus to other characters so much that I thought maybe the main guy got Good End or something and we had just moved on to other people. I really liked the friend character and thought he would show up again, but apparently not by the point this anime finishes adapting things. There's supposed to be some Ajin movies coming out or something and I have no idea where they fit with what I just saw.

Flying Witch is cute. I'll stick with it.

For all the hype, I haven't found much to watch this season. Sticking with AssClass and DBS, and adding Sailor Moon (for now, the art is still janky with lots of whining) and Macross Delta, which isn't horrible.

I checked out more eps of Flying Witch the other day. Since I really have nothing else I'm following right now, I might keep checking out that show. It doesn't excite me and it's too mellow, but it's still a nice way to pass some time. I'm also gonna wait for Ushio to Tora to finish out and then watch it completely through. I got many eps through last year and I liked what I saw, but I didn't like the tension being interrupted by waiting for the next episode.

Well I guess I'm gonna watch the new Voltron when it comes out, or rather I'm gonna download all the episodes and watch them since I am on Sat internet and can't stream from Netflix. Don't know if that is really anime though. I mean was Avatar anime? Looks like the same company is doing it, or at least they are aping their style.

I wouldn't call it anime. American written, acted, and produced, Korean animated. But, yeah, that line's getting pretty blurred. And not technically the same company but Studio Mir was founded by an animation director that worked on Avatar (Studio Mir worked on Korra) and I imagine probably has a bunch of the same people that worked on Avatar. Voltron head writer worked on Avatar and was brought in to work on Korra. Executive producer worked on Avatar and directed a bunch of season three episodes. So it's looking a lot like the spiritual successor to Avatar.

I'm currently watching Macross Delta (still ramping up), Dragon Ball Super (it's DBZ part 2 sans GT), NetoYome (could be trashy, fun, trashy fun, or crap...trending toward fun, but art looks like Hagenai so could d/evolve into trashy fun), Assassination Classroom (actually a very, very good show), Gakusen Toshi Asterisk (treading water and derivative, but it's okay), and Flying Witch (cute but slow). I also download Sailor Moon Crystal, but I haven't watched it this season...I'm mainly holding it for my niece to watch.

I watched some of Snow White with the Red Hair. It seems okay. The characters are pretty vanilla so far but every once in a while, a tiny bit of personality sneaks into them. Also, it's odd to make such a big deal about this chick's hair when her love interest is a young man with white hair. And his pal's hair is green or something. The Yona anime did this same shit. They both needed to take a page out of the book of The Twelve Kingdoms and how that show handled Yoko's unusual red hair.

I also saw a bit of Shin Sekai Yori. I forget what made me look into it. It seems like a decent show, but probably something I should've watched as it was airing so I could've had the element of surprise. I don't think shows that play up your suspense are really viewable again once you know what's going to happen. Like Attack on Titan. Or even Moribito. I loved those when I first watched them. I did it in two to three marathons and you couldn't pull me away from my screen. But you couldn't pay me to rewatch either of them. And I've tried to, too.

Snow White with the Red Hair = Rose Red. That may seem pretty random, but I did really enjoy the Fables comics.

Watching Koutetsujou no Kabaneri. Something I think is kinda neat: Amazon apparently paid to be exclusive streamer so I watched it using Merla's Prime. They need to do that with more series because their anime pickings are kinda pathetic. Anyway, KnK is from the makers of Attack on Titan, so it has a lot of the feel of that series. I have to say I like it better than Attack on Titan. Ikoma and Mumei feel more colorful and real to me than Eren and Mikasa. Also, with a way shorter ep count, things are moving at a faster pace. It's only 12 eps long.

I'm not watching it. If you liked Attack on Titan it's allegedly of the same vein.

I would try Jojo, but there's a lot of back episodes I'd have to catch up with, and I've already got an enormous backlog of stuff.

I'd watch at least the first two eps and see if you like it enough to continue. It's only going to be twelve eps long so the plot moves at a brisk pace and there's not a lot of commitment needed.
