It's because last night, in their "QUEEN" Theme, they had to cut Bohemian Rhapsody down to 1:30.
ONE MINUTE, AND THIRTY SECONDS. From a Five MInute, thirty Two second masterpieces to a One MInute thirty second TRAVESTY. The Beginning, the Middle, the END! They put together bits from after the beggining and the very end and strung it together!!
I understand having to cut down the song to fit the TV LEngth, but JESUS CHRIST. They should've saved the "Queen" Theme for fewer contests so they could give them each more time. They MUTILATED THE SONGS. They had to cut them down left and right dammit!
And most of them didn't sing very well either.
Fuckers.

Aiken's the skinny white boy, Studdard's the big black boy. Clarkson is an eventual TDS cum dumpster, and Hung's a little god among men.

Yeah, I've only hear of Aiken and Studdard as punch lines to jokes. Clarkson now has just done the cliche thing and dyed her hair blonde, just like the rest of Hollywood. And therefore just becomes another member of queue. Way to be an individual there Kelly. The only real impact Clarkson has had on me as of late is in the fact that I'm sick of her latest Music Video being played once every five mins during the few precious hours that MTV still shows videos. Other then those three I don't know, or care about any of the winners or losers from American Idol.

There's nothing wrong with her hair, hair doesn't make a celebrity (unless you're Pink, I guess). I'm just annoyed she keeps getting dumped in her songs. Kelly Clarkson is only good thing to come out of American Idol, period. The rest of the winners and runner-ups and what-have-yous are crap. They'll be lucky to land a gig on a cruise ship while Kelly has her thirtieth hit song.

The minute I heard AI was doing "Queen", I knew you would have a problem with it, E. Rockstar:INXS also truncated their Queen songs and you seemed to like that show.

THEY TOOK OUT THE ENTIRE MIDDLE OF "BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY!"
"I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me..."

Now, Rockstar? Yeah they truncated it, but they cut it down to about 3 minutes 23 seconds, so basically they cut out about a minute of the very beginning and went straight into the main vocals. They cut a bit more out of the beginning, a couple verses I think, but otherwise they kept the middle and end pretty much whole.
That and the Vocal work was done wellby Good Ol' Suzy McNeil.

AMERICAN FUCKING IDOL? One Minute and Thirty Seconds. They Cut Chunks from the Beginning, they Cut Chunks from the MIDDLE, they cut CHUNKS FROM THE END!!! There was NO ROCKING GUITAR SOLO! No WAYNES WORLD Headbanging! None of that awesome Middle part!
And the Woman sang this abridged version barely adequately. She's VERY Lucky they cut out the middle, because she would've BOMBED it. A TRAVESTY, Nuri, IT WAS a TRAVESTY!

Not even in Pink's case, since her hair is no longer pink. But when everyone else is doing it and then you do it. You're just going along with the herd. I mean not that Clarkson wasn't guilty of that before the change of venue up top, but it's just another notch in the belt of the follower. Maybe she wanted to change it, but I doubt it. I'm sure an agent a publicist and the phrase "It's the in thing" and "everyone is doing it" came up many times in a nice little meeting before the trip to the salon. But whatever she has to do to try to stretch her 15 mins into 20.... If it works then more powet to her.

I would be tempted but probably wouldn't make it past the first performance episode without half of my childhood being raped in the process. I'm still washing "Bowling for Soup"'s rendition of "I Ran" out of my ears.
