I do admit to watching women's skating from time to time. I just can't watch it very long before I realize those nice legs and butts don't normally have nice boobies attached to the same body.

I read something that Michelle Kwan can't do a lot of the leaps most of the younger chicks can...but it's not so much age as it is that she never could get air.

I've actually been following it pretty closely. I tend to zone out during figure skating though.

Unless the girl's especially attractive. Then I'll stick around for a few minutes.

We laughed our fucking asses off watching paired ice skating with all the fruity fucking costumes and the faces and gestures the italian guy was making while wearing the fruitiest of all costumes ever. We re-watched his ending hand flourish twice with tivo. That shit was hilarious and then we laughed about how it would be funny if the guy actually wasn't gay and did an interview in his costume in a manly voice saying things like "Yeah, these fags got nothin on me".

Breast are composed of fat tissue and most elite-level figure skaters don't have the extra fat. Look at Sasha Cohen who is around 20 pounds underweight.

Michelle Kwan has never been a jumper. Her strong suit has always been her artistry. That worked with the old 6.0 system not this new points systems.

As for the freaky men's costumes I don't know what those guys were thinking. I believe most of them are batting for the other team. They were really out there: Stephane Lambiel's zebra print, Johnny Weir's swan outfit complete with red glove, that puffy thing Jeffery Buttle was wearing.

The ending to figure skating was almost disappointing.

Cohen fell twice, and it didn't look like she'd even get a medal. Then Slutskaya fell. And all of a sudden, some Japanese woman no one even thought would get to the top 5 skated flawlessly and won the gold medal by a mile. Cohen got silver, and the russian got bronze.

As much as I wanted Cohen to get gold, this medal was the first medal the Japanese had won in the games. As of that moment, they were at 1 gold, and 0 silver and bronze. So for a Jap to beat the two best nations is damn good luck. Most likely she would have only gotten bronze had the two other girls not fallen.

Thoughts about the olympics:

What kind of name is Apollo Ohno? Every time I see him, I expected him to fly around in a Viper.

The sports I enjoyed watching was halfpipe, skijump, downhill speed skiing, bobsledding, and woman's figure skating. That new sport, the downhill snowboard racing, was cool and reminded me of SSX for some reason. Also, I forgot what it was called but I liked the sport where you ski down a hill, go up a vertical ramp that launches you into the air, and then you do some stunts before falling 50 feet and slamming into the ground. Now that's hardcore.

Also, the air the american women got in halfpipe was sweet.
