You know I want to believe Joel on that point...I loved Tigerland and Flatliners.

What about the perfection of the first two Batman films?

Tim Burton is just that damn good, though I am glad Johny Depp wasn't Batman <.<

Well Burton Exec. Produced Forever.....how do you explain that? He could have pulled the plug on Joel if he wanted, but didn't.

Forever was not as bad a Batman and Robin. For one thing, not as many ass-shots.

The second MK movie was pure-D shit.  I only rented one video while I was in college, and that was why there never was a second.

Perfection?  That only gives credence to the old adage that opinions are like assholes in that everybody has one and most of them stink.

Well, except mine.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The first one was good, but cheezy.  The second one was a bit too cheezy, it's like they thought it was the cheeziness that worked, and to a point it was.  And from that point foward the cheeze was too much.

The cheeziness was what made it perfection, not to mention the lack of rubber nipples.

Just be happy we never got the Bat-Nads from the proposed 5th film, "Batman & Family".

Linden Ashby?  They're bringing back Johnny Cage?

"Those were $500 sunglasses, asshole!"

I may actually have to see it now.

Liu Kang:  "Oh!" *gasp*  [sits up in bed] I... I had the strangest dream!
Johnny Cage: [rolls over in bed] There, there.
Liu Kang:  Johnny!  You're alive!  I thought you were dead.  *sob!*
Johnny Cage:  No, I'm fine.  Everything's gonna be all right.
Raiden:  [rolls over in bed]  Yes, there, there, Liu Kang.
Liu Kang:  Oh guys!
MK Announcer:  FIGHT!
[cue theme music and orgy with bed-lightning]

No, wait, that's just my fanscript: Brokeback Kombat.

They've been saying the next MK movie has been in production since 1999.  Trust me folks, it ain't happening.   Just because little Timmy who contributed his "secret hollywood info" to IMDB.com, doesn't mean it's actually taking place.

:P

I'd rather see Liu wake up with a start, then go to the bathroom where he finds Johnny Cage in the shower doing his best Patrick Duffy.

I actually saw a inetview with one of the stunt guys that also played Scorpian in both the movies and he said that Katrina had pushed back the shooting schedule, but that the movie hadn't been scrapped yet and was still a go, but they where thinking of moving on-location shoots so as to now delay production further.

That's more progress than Watchmen.    Only bit of casting I ever heard was John Cusack for Nite Owl.
