My nerves are getting so frayed that It's starting to affect my sleep. Just the other night I couldn't get to sleep due to unrealistic visions of my older bro committing suicide/killing my family/Me beating the shit out of my older bro. The first two are completely unrealistic, considering he's too lazy and spineless to do anything of the sort, but the last one...my god I've never been this close to actually wanting to beat the ever loving shit out of him. His laziness and bullshit just grow and grow and I take it and I take it and I'm getting tired of it. So tired, so tired, SO TIRED of it! I want him out of this house. OUT of this god damn house.

It's not just the older brother that's grinding my nerves, it's the younger brother. He's a lot like the older brother, which is ironic considering that he RECOGNIZES how much of a lazy bastard the older bro is. He's worse than the older brother because he KNOWS how lazy the Older brother is and He's acting lazy too, despite that he see's the problems it causes. Not only that, but he treats me like I'm inferior to him. Maybe it's because I'm not as VAIN as him, because I don't dress as nicely as him, because I could care less about my appearance and he cares more for his than his own brother, it seems. This morning he wouldn't help me get the garbage together to go out cause he was "Getting ready for school". Bullshit. He was tying a tie. When I get back from taking the garbage up? he's in a completely different get up! Just because he dresses better than me, has more friends than me, does not give him carte' blanche' to treat me like shit. It's because he doesn't take his medicine. He flat out REFUSES to take the dexedrine prescribed to him, so he acts irrational and impulsive. I'm sick of it, I'm tired of it, TIRED TIRED TIRED SO GOD DAMN TIRED. I'm giving him the riot act when he gets home, god damn it, and if he walks away from me I'm going to bury my fist into his gut. When i was his age at 16, I would get my homework done and still have time to do the housework I do NOW at 20. It's because he's taking on too much shit out of the house and comes home and treats me like It's my JOB to do all this house work.
I'm sick and tired of being treated like shit by my brothers, god damn it. I do more work in a day than they do in a week, and for years I've been living with it on my back, and I'm god damn tired of it. I swear to god, if he mouths off to me today, it's going to snap me. I'll snap like a twig and haul off on'em. I've restrained myself for years because I'm afraid if I take a swing, I won't stop swinging, but by god I'm at the point I don't think I care if I stop.

TThe answer is: tell your dad to kick your older brother out of the house, and you take charge of the lil one. If the older brother is out of the pic, the lil brother will feel like he has no defense against you.
My dad got tired of my brother being a lazy ass for a looong time, until he got tired of him and kicked him out (now he lives at my mom's)

Sometimes you have to bitchslap the bird out of the nest. Or your dad could try the other approach. Treat him like he's still a child and (gradually, if need be) strip his and little brother's room of everything (including the door) but a bed and a sheet, making them earn the rest. If you happen to share a room with one of them, well, let's just say "someone" would be getting his own room real soon.

Seriously though, unless your parents lay down the law (or some kind of law), nothing will change. People will do whatever others will tolerate. Maybe now's the time to plan for your future, so that after school you can move out or something. Maybe if you just "keep your eye on the prize", you know, you can kinda filter out the irritation your brothers cause you. Sure they make you do chores, but don't think of it that way. Think of it as you doing chores for your parents because you love them and want to help them.

See, here's the reality of "beating the shit out of people". Money. It'll cost me something one way or another, because if I go at it with one of'em, something's going to get smashed. Last time, many years ago, when I got in a fight with my older brother, we put a hole in the wall and had to buy plaster to fill it in. A couple years later, I shoved him through some wood we were using to put together a bed. Monetarily speaking, my family can't afford a serious fight.

All right. I feel better tonight. I yelled at the lazy bastard older brother. I snapped and started cursing his lazy ass out, and I swear if my parents hadn't stepped in I would've dragged his ass outside and beat himm until 9:00 rolled around. This all started when he didn't clean the fucking bathroom and started arguing with my parents. I was in the kitchen and just god damn SNAPPED. I even had my glasses off, and I had to resist the urge to wrap my arms around his head and SQUEEZE Until the brains oozed out when he ACTUALLY GOT IN MY FACE. It went something like this;
Me: "I love you dearly but GOD DAMN You're pissing me the fuck off!"
Bro:"Get out of the way You're not involved in this."
Me: 'You bet your ass I'm involved, I LIVE HERE. In the time it takes you to do ONE DAMN THING I've already done ten and I'm getting god damn sick and tired of it. You're damn lucky I haven't kicked your ass. You don't do SHIT!"
Bro: "it's not my fault! When You were little the parents took things away from me for not doing it faster! It's called learned helplessness."
Me: "You are so full of shit! That's such agod damn cop out AND a fucking lie! You're TWENTY THREE FUCKING YEARS OLD, TAKE Some GOD DAMN RESPONSIBILITY! Jesus CHRIST! You're not helpless!"
Bro: "Well You treat me like shit! Last night I was lying on the couch and you turned the fan off on me!"
Me: "I Treat you like shit? YOU treat ME like shit by not DOING SHIT? WHY DON'T YOU DO SHIT FIRST? THEN I'LL DO SHIT FOR YOU!"{

And there was more cursing until the parents actually stepped in front of me. Then I had to leave the room so he'd actually discuss the damn thing....and they wouldn't get out of the way for me to jump him. Lucky LUCKY Bastard.

Well it might be because I do treat him a bit like shit. When he tries to tell me I'm doing something wrong, I tend to ignore him. Cause he's a dick.
