The only thing I found helpful with those announcements is that friends would friend other friends I didn't know had a Facebook page. But, ew, someone--no one here btw but since I link my website in my FB I'll refrain from specifics--made comments on some cam-skank's slutty pics and my feed showed previews of said pics. Gross. Needless to say I hid all future ones from my feed because then it happened again.

One is targeted towards gamers, the other is target against anyone who would log into Facebook, which is mostly those who are not traditionally labeled as "gamers."

Whoever uses it, I don't, and I don't give a hoot about someone's progress or what frigging animals they need for their farm or what-have-you. So FBPurity kills all that for me.

Are you talking about friend's lists? I use that all the time to keep everybody corralled. Or are you talking about actual facebook groups, which work like fan pages?
