Also started watching Star Trek TOS with this girl I've been seeing. She liked it. I actually dozed a little during the pilot movie thing.

Joss Whedon is so great at building up but almost always falls flat with the big ending. That was the worst case of it.

Semi-related because, well, it should be obvious why, but our tv died today. It was probably at least 10 yrs old. Temporary solution? Grab the tv from my room I wasn't using anyway that's only 15" but, hey, at least it's a fuckin' tv until we get a new one. And then watch some Adventure Time on Netflix. And not think about how we're gonna get the old tv outta our house since it's an old one so it's huge with, like, a fat xenomorph head or something. And to think I was going to donate my tv to the disabled vets but just forgot about it.

I forgot what the first cartoon was called, it was some kind of sf show where they fought these car/plant/machines. No idea anymore what the plot was about, but those things looked cool.

The second was Inspector Gadget

I miss my Jayce toys. I think I only had 1 or 2 good guys. The bad guys were the best, I had several of them. One of them came with a big chrome buzzsaw, and they all had little squishy green plastic brains that piloted them.

Didn't Jem always show along side The Inhumanoids and that other show...these things were like zoids or some shit there were good ones and bad ones. Like people's intellects had been transferred into them or something like that.

Merla really liked Jayce and Wheeled Warriors. She was so pissed Jayce never found his dad, which was for the best since they planned to kill off his dad in the aborted movie anyway. Other than the song, the show was kinda a yawner for me though. But I was totally into Inspector Gadget.

Farscape

I haven't seen this show in a long time, but we got a new channel called Pivot...it mostly sucks, but they do show Farscape. I remember loving this show. It was one of the few can't miss shows that I use to watch. It holds up really well too. They are playing it every weeknight, so I'll be watching that.

The thing I noticed is that Fry and Laurie must be 10 feet tall, because Rik and Ade look like midgets next to them and they aren't exactly short guys themselves.
