I think I've now learned more words in Japanese from watching this stuff, then I did in Spanish from High School. Although that isn't saying much as I failed that class.

Been watching Spartacus.
What's really bothering me about this last season (well aside from having to watch Julius Caesar get assraped) is how the Romans aren't fighting as Romans. All this charging forward like mad men and overdrawn one-on-one battles were all fine and good when the rebels were basically just fighting city guards, but at this point in the story they're up against veteran legions. Those guys would never break rank so easily, they'd just stick inside the shieldwall and slowly walz over their enemies.

I just watched the season finale of Justified. Brilliant episode.

A friend of mine turned me on this show a few years back, and I've been hooked since. I love how everyone is so polite and calm (at least on the outside) all the time, even tho there's some pretty hardcore shit happening.

A shitload of Cartoon Network stuff made it on to Netflix Streaming so I'm picking through it. And I thought "Oh, look, Samurai Jack. I didn't really care for this show when it was coming out, maybe when I see it now I'll like it because that shit sometimes happens--oh no, wait, nope, still don't care for it."

That's another one I never really cared for, but I never actually sat down and watched an episode. The voices and character designs just annoyed me.

Might try that one too though since the first season or whatever's on here.

Yeah, I tried watching Dexter's Lab and couldn't get through a minute. That pig-lady's voice kills me sometimes and that sister of his... argh. I also tried another Samurai Jack as I remembered liking an episode or two of that but even watching one I liked, I was left with this whole "and what was the point?" I mean, the payoff of the episode I saw was the twist at the end (even though it's obvious to everyone over the age of eight) but the Netflix description includes the twist in it, lol. It's like "here's some cliches and stereotypes and some other stuff, Jack wants to go home, these sounds effects suck, look Jack got screwed again, ♫ Samurai Jack ♫" I also watched some Johnny Bravo. I was never really a fan but JB for the most part is all right although some of the jokes and things are kinda aged... like his crush on Farrah Fawcett, heh. Oh, and yesterday I saw some Adventure Time and Regular Show and those are okay. I don't know if I'll stick with them, but they're not a bad way to kill time.

I loved all of those Cartoon Network shows. Back when the old analog satellite receiver was still functional, I would just leave Cartoon Network on 24/7. It didn't matter what I was doing, CN was playing in the background at all times. Those were the good old days.
