Silver Chair was very memorable in class - we would read a chapter every day silently for the first 20 minutes, than have discussion, blah, blah. One of the characters decides that, in order to fool some enimies, they will all have to "be gay". Another character declares, "All right, gay's the word!" Not the best phrasing for a bunch of 6th-graders: Silence, page turning, then one after another: "SNORTsputtersnickersnicker!!" until Pastor finally asked what was going on and gave a lecture on unforseen shifts in language.
