It was probably an okay movie. For some reason the thing started and reminded me of Memento, but once I figured out about halfway through what they were doing I was already about to give out. The rest is a blur, but I assume everyone lived happily ever after.

Nope. I liked Joseph Gordon Levitt in the movie. He was awesome. Cared for nothing or no one else.

Went to see Skyfall today. The good news is that it was far better than Quantum of Solace. The bad news is...well, I don't have any bad news. I rank it above average among Bond flicks...it's no Thunderball or From Russia With Love, but it's no View to a Kill, either.

Late to the game on all counts. All three movies were great and apparently directed by the same guy, which was a total coincidence. I was just watching "Will Ferrell comedies".

I am extremely humored by different opinions on Bond movies.

I've not seen Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace. We watched Skyfall last night.

My room mates think QoS is better than Skyfall.

I liked the film, but have nothing to compare it to.

Moonraker had an element of ridiculousness to it that made somewhat fun. Certainly not good, but it was fun. Having both my favorite Bond girl (Goodhead? Yes, please) and Bond gadget (dart watch ftw) helped.

QoS was worse than View to a Kill, which was my previous least liked Bond flick. Daniel Craig is totally uncrasimatic in that movie, and that could have elevated QoS to at least being watchable. I liked what little chemistry he had with Moneypenny in Skyfall, though.

Skyfall kicked ass. I think I might like it even more than Casino Royale. It certainly has the most memorable Bond villain in over two decades.

Did you know there was a Scorpion King 3: Battle for ~~a Paycheck~~ Redemption? It has Ron Perlman and Billy Zane: playing brothers because that shit's totally believable. Perlman is actually barely in it. He plays Clay Morrow, his biker character from Sons of Anarchy, except he wears a hair band and the hair to go with it. Billy Zane plays a homeless hippy. Both are kings or some shit and are at war or some shit. It's stars some guy who reminds me of Opie from Sons of Anarchy except he's not and he's the Scorpion King. I wish I could remember why we give a fuck about the Scorpion King in the first place. Anyway, playing his sidekick is a generic Jack Black who has seventeen daughters. The budget for this thing is exactly what you know it is. Everyone is wearing bedsheets and rags. Nothing looks like Egypt. Terrible, terrible acting everywhere. Somehow, this mangled pile managed to entertain me. It had hot chicks, stupid jokes, and fuckin' ninjas. Thank you to whoever made this movie. You knew what you were working with and you made the best of it. You threw in what you liked without giving a fuck. And when Perlman and Zane were clearly phonin' that shit in, you didn't give even two fucks to rub together. You were like "fuck that shit; print it." You get a gold star for trying, champ.

He is Akkadian but the setting in the movie and majority of other characters are supposed to be Egyptian.

Skyfall.

And wow....just wow. I actually wanted to applaud at the end of this movie, but since I live in the Mid-west where such things are not done, I didn't. I wanted too, however. I don't think it is best Bond ever, but it is up there. It gave me everything I wanted from a Bond film and I left with a smile on my face. Although at times it was channeling the Dark Knight a little too much for my tastes, but that can be forgiven since I really liked that movie too.

Anchorman is one of the funniest movies EVAR. Ive been planning on watching Step Brothers for a while tho

Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Zac and Miri. Both were just comedies I was catching up on.

I appreciated the subject matter of Forgetting Sarah Marshall given my current situation.

Zac and Miri was really confusing. I didn't understand that they weren't a couple until quite a bit into the movie and at that point the eventual hookup could not have been more obvious.

In both movies I saw the penis of a male comedian named Jason.

I agree with a lot of what you said there. Although I think 3 between the sheet romps is up to par for Bond, although I'm still not sure if followed through on the Eve one...at the time I thought he did, but that changed at the end of the film to maybe he didn't.

And I also liked how things where back to way they should be at the end of the movie. That office's look and Moneypenny sitting outside it with hat rack and all gave me warm fuzzies inside, and I think they could go in and make a full out remake of Dr. No now if they wanted to with the pieces they've put in place...course I know they will not do that. I am really looking forward to the next one with the way this one ended.

I have always thought Craig didn't so much look the part of Bond and wished they'd gone with the other front runner Henry Cavill, who more looks the part but lost out to being too young. Course he might come in and fill the role when Craig leaves. There is a track record of that in Bond.

And I was glad they left Quantum behind. When they started talking about a organization behind everything at the end of Casino Royale that it would be SPECTRE. When QOS came and it was just SPECTRE like, I was upset. I was pretty sure I heard they got the full rights back to Thunderball and didn't have avoid them anymore. Guess that info was wrong...oh well. I'd just rather have SPECTRE instead of something SPECTRE like.

With Kevin McClory dead, I don't think they have to worry about it anymore. Remaking Thunderball again died with him.

I've said it before: I can stomach a bad movie if it's fun. And that's what these last three 007 movies have really been missing. The old movies were fun, even if they weren't particularly good. It's how I can tolerate the likes of Moonraker.

They're forcing "dour" onto Bond. They did it with Timothy Dalton--an otherwise great actor--and tried it on Pierce Brosnan--who shone through the push for sullenness). So I think it's more directorial than it is the actor...there were some moments where I thought Craig would break through, but all we'd get is a knowingly sideways comment with a nod and half a smirk.

Only Black Dynamite can pull that one off!

I'd heard that the rights themselves came over with the Spider-Man deal with Sony though. Same deal that got us a real Casino Royale movie in the first place, but then they didn't use them. I doubt we will get anymore threats of remakes or suing over it...still if they don't have the rights they don't have the rights and still can't use them, which is sad.
