Haywire was great. I was surprised to actually feel bad when you-know-who ate it, because at the beginning of the movie it was like, "Oh my God, he's beating the shit out of her!"

But then of course she beat him even worse, so it was all good.

I was surprised I felt bad about him dying, period.  Nothing to do with his character for the rest of the film, just because he kinda annoys me in general.  That this movie transformed him into a character I could actually have any measure of empathy for in such a short time added an entire star to the film for me.  I also found that to be another nice contrast with MI3, where that film worked so damn hard to get us to feel bad about Keri Russell but had so much less impact than a guy we were only supposed to like for a couple of minutes before he carked it.

Goldeneye...probably my favorite Bond film of them all.

Good movie. GREAT GAME.

QFT.

Honestly I enjoyed all the Moore Bond movies except View to a Kill.

But that one has my favorite Bond song.  Also, Grace Jones. ♥

It's my favorite of the Moore Bonds, and my favorite of the songs as well. I mean it has Jones and Walken and a Dolph cameo too...it's just all kinds of great.

I don't know why you guys like Goldeneye.

Pierce Brosnan is just awful.

Fucking hell I love that movie so much, and I can't explain it. I also have a soft spot for 10 Things I Hate About You. Ledger-Joker preview in that one.

Pierce Brosnan is just awful.

Goldeneye was the best Brosbond flick. It had problems, but it wasn't bad. I found Brosnan was too night-and-day in his portrayal, either playing it too brooding or too giddy.

My Bond preference list: Connery>Moore>>Lazenby=Brosnan>½>Dalton>∞>Craig. I can explain it to some degree, but it's largely preference.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Funny, last night I dreamed I was with a friend talking about actresses and she said Julia Stiles looked pretty and I said she looked like the exact definition of white trash, and there was some lady that looked at us and left angry
Its true tho, she looks like the prom queen of the trailer camp

At least he's not Daniel Craig.  *snort*  Anyway, I think many things about that movie just worked.  Squirrel's right tho, it's his best one.  The rest of 'em are a downhill ride.

I watched Mean Girls.  And What Women Want.  But as it turns out, what I wanted wasn't that movie.  Ho ho.

I think Julia Styles is decently hot but for whatever reason men don't generally seem to find her attractive.

Saw the Avengers the other day.
Glad I didn't see it in the theater this summer. I mean it was an ok film, but really not worth all the hype IMO

I saw some animated Avengers thingies on Netflix and was so glad what's-his-face died.  I actually cheered and clapped.  The Avengers do not excite me even a little bit.  Although I did like that line in the first animated movie where one of them saw Thor and was all "who's the chick with the hammer".  Ha or whatever.  But Cap and Thor are bland.  Widow's just tits and ass with a gun.  Fury's your typical angry black man.  Antman and Wasp: who gives a fuck.  I hate the Hulk.  Iron Man... I don't know what the fuck happened with Iron Man.  I used to like the guy.  Now I just like seeing them get their asses kicked.  Give me my Justice League movie already.

There won't be a JL movie till DC and WB can make something worth a shit without Batman in it...which they can't. Hell Marvel did in like 6 years what DC has been trying to do since Batman and Robin bombed. Have to wait and see on Man of Steel...but I just loath Superman. Justice League as a whole is rather boring collection of guys to me. One thing I do give give DC credit for is having an iconic female Super Hero in Wonder Woman, which Marvel has tried to do but can't pull off, but other then that is a whole lot of blah. I guess I'm saying Make Mine Marvel.

I can't remember if we've talked about it here before, but if you want to watch a good Viking movie, check out Valhalla Rising.

Shit is bleak as fuck.

And that's a direct quote from Roger Ebert.

Not really.

Watched Avengers last night. It's amazing how much more you can enjoy a movie when you're able to pause it when you have to go take a leak.

SADDEST MOVIE EVER. Even though I read a synopsis of it and KNEWWW what was going to happen, i still cried like a little bitch. Oh yeah and hours later i was still thinking about how fucked up and sad it was. Goddamn
