I went to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter last night. It was... entertaining. I don't regret spending money on the ticket.

The elaborately choreographed axe-kata fight scenes alone make this movie worthwhile. Just expect to part ways with a few brain cells for the rest of it.

Some of the action sequences are so over-the-top and ridiculous that it borders on comedy. I suppose the original source material is satirical in nature, so maybe this movie should be seen as a tongue-in-cheek poke at modern action movies. Considering the director though, it was probably meant to look awesome and just failed miserably.

Also, whoever was in charge of making Mary Elizabeth Winstead look middle-aged needs to think long and hard about their chosen career path.

I've some friends who saw it. Ability to assume suspension of disbelief is definitely a requirement.

Rama if it makes you feel better, even the studios that did the movie knew they were going to fuck it up. THey only had like some months left before the license for the Vampire Chronicles ran out so they just pulled the whole concept of the movie (two books into one movie) out of their ass

Oh I know. I've read those books, and I heard about what was going on with this film back then. I still don't know if it was a quick cash grab because they were losing the rights, or they made a crap movie quick and cheap in order to keep the rights.

Daily nutritional values are either way too small or way too large for most people's diets. Ignore the percentage completely and focus on what you actually need.

I still don't know about ASM...I really like the old ones. Well 1 and 2 at least. This one hasn't won me over with the previews.

I saw Sherlock Homes: Game of Shadows. It was good, but forgettable.

I watched Chopper Chicks in Zombietown yesterday. It was a Troma film so pretty much what I expected. I only watched it because it has the chick with 3 boobs from Total Recall in it.

No. The actress has 2 boobs. The one on the left (viewer's right) is the prosthetic I believe.

Wanted to with Sith, but was with other people. I just spent the time laughing at how bad the movie was, when no one else in the theater was laughing. I exploded with laughter during the NOOOOOOOOO scene.

Saw Spiderman. It's fucking awesome. Better than 1 and 3 of the last trilogy, but not as good as 2. I almost want to say it's better than the Avengers. If they keep this up with making better and better comic movies this year, when I see batman they'll have to scrape my brains off the theater walls because my head will have exploded from the epic.

I saw ASM tonight...

oh boy..just. Ugh. Is hate to strong a word for how a feel about Andrew Garfield? No...hate is about right. This movie...while not terrible is inferior to the first Spider-Man in almost every way possible. It only outshines it in very few places and they are so few an far between that it doesn't make up for it as a whole at all. I would have really just liked to have seen Spider-Man 4 instead of this reboot.

It doesn't have J. Jonah in it, and the words "With great powet, comes great responsibility." are never uttered. Nuff said.

Watching Half in the Bag's review has helped me see ASM in a different light, but I can't retroactively not enjoy it, you know? I sat in that theater and I was entertained.

Well I guess I was looking for more then to just be entertained. I wanted a good movie, and in my book that takes more then being just entertained. Plus it was living in the shadow of 2002's Spider-Man, which in my book is one of the best comic book movies of all time.

The movie it's self wasn't awful, it just wasn't as good as that film. If you are going to reboot, if you are gonna start over this close to the last one, then you better make damn sure it is a better film then that one...and this one just isn't.

Oddly the costume didn't bug me as much as I thought it would.(which was one of my few complainants about the original...although it was Green Goblins.) I really didn't like it coming into this, but I understand they wanted to distance themselves from the Raimi movie and that costume was almost taken directly from the pages of the comic. In the end that suit was overshadowed by bigger issues for me. With number one being Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. Not at one point did I believe this was Peter Parker and not generic modern kid number 1. They could have just changed his name to "Picked On Kid" in the script and it would have had the same effect. His delivery was like a spazing third grader had a baby with Jeff Goldblum.

At the end of the day I'm huge Spider-Man fan and this movie didn't do it for me. And I hope in time it will be seen for what it is and be as reviled as Bay's Transformers movies. Well...maybe not that bad.

I haven't even seen a trailer yet for spider-man, and I can't be bothered to look for it on youtube. I've seen way too many superhero movies the past few years. I need a break from the genre

Uhhh.... so underwhelmed. My B======D has a major B=======================D~~~~~~ for Emma Stone but aside from that this movie just failed to evoke anything from me. Scene after scene I was just kind of dissapointed about how things played out. Obviously I'd seen all of this before too much and too recently, and it failed to do anything better or at least innovative enough for me to give a shit.

Andrew Garfield is a total fucking waste of my time. Worst Spider-Man ever.
