I was very bored by "La Vie en Rose", the movie about French singer Édith Piaf.  One of the most disjointed movies ever.  She's old, she's young, she's old again, she young, she's even older.  It did not need over 2 hours to tell the woman's story.

I also saw "One of the Guys".  Decent, but it have parts I had to fast forward through because they just dragged.

When I was little, I liked the tits at the end. When rewatching, I thought she was too butch to really enjoy the tits.

Ha ha.  I was told that happened a long time ago, but it surprised me when I saw it.  I was like "um, wouldn't those have been bound or something".  What you say does seem to be true.  And a big old BLEH for women's 80's fashion.  Her boyfriend bitched about going to a fancy restaurant, but what she had planned to wear was certainly NOT smoking.

She was way too manish for men to be fighting over her, even for the 80s.

Batman/Superman: Public Enemies.

Pretty good...got stupid at the end with the giant robot, but up will that point it was great. I really liked the style of animation too, except Powergirl's face which just looked strange.

Yeah, college dude would've been all "see ya" and the other guy may have decided he liked her as a chick but since he became hot himself, he might think he could pull in a better girl now.  I don't even know what her little brother was doing at that prom to begin with.

I saw "In The Line of Fire" and "Perfume".  Both not that good.  Both too damn long.

Re: Perfume: I have never seen Dustin Hoffman so misused and miscasted in a movie.  He was truly terrible.  Unbelievable.  Alan Rickman was great as always though.

Re: "In The Line of Fire".  Clint Eastwood was such an overacting tool in this one.  Rene Russo, who works so well opposite Mel Gibson, fails here.  Not bad, but probably miscasted.  They needed a more "take-charge" looking woman for the part and someone with better chemistry with Eastwood.  John Malkovich saves this film from being a complete waste.  The minute Dylan McDermott appears on screen...
Spoiler (hover to show)
I loled when Clint did a Superman dive to take a bullet for the president.  Maybe worth seeing just for the laugh.  I can't believe this got nominated for an Academy Award.  Every other top grossing film that year grounds this one into the dirt, even Mrs. Doubtfire.

It looked eh, but I can't stand Jamie Fox. How the hell did he win an Oscar for imitating someone?

Yeah, where's Robert Wisden's Oscar?  Hyuk.

But dude, didn't Marion Cotillard (Édith Piaf), Hilary Swank (Brandon Teena), Helen Mirren (Queen Elizabeth II), Reese Witherspoon (June Carter), Nicole Kidman (Virginia Woolf), Julia Roberts (Erin Brockovich), Charlize Theron (Aileen Wuornos), Cate Blanchett (Katharine Hepburn), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Truman Capote), Forest Whitaker (Idi Amin), Sean Penn (Harvey Milk), Adrien Brody (Wladyslaw Szpilman), and bunch of others do the same thing?  Unless you just can't stand his acting, then that would be something else.  Though, even though I didn't see Ray, I thought he was good in Collateral.

My favorite biopic of a musician?

WALK HARD

Also, that one chick played Jane Austen in that movie "Being Jane," or "Becoming Jane," or something like that. I actually watched it. It wasn't horrible.

I can't stand really anyone on that list. His acting is terible, also. Cate Blanchett was only good as an elf, sucked as a queen. Adrien Brody is just... wierd lookin, same with many others on that list. Forest Whitaker's Idi Amin didn't have the creepiness I expected. Did most deserve those oscars? Eh, it's difficult to say. Frank Caliendo deserves an oscar for his Madden, that shit is dead on to the point where Madden hates him. You don't get any better than that.

You know, if you asked me, "Who do you hate most in the NFL," my answer would either be Michael Vick or Terrel Owens.

I also don't know a damned thing about football. I just watch the Cowboys because I live in Dallas.

I watched Batman: Gotham Knight and Batman/Superman: Public Enemies

Gotham Knight was decent but odd as fuck, I enjoyed the first and the last segment the most, but not because of the animation styles. Public Enemies was great and, hey, did you know Power Girl has big boobies?

You know, I don't most of the people on that list either aside from maybe Helen Mirren, let alone think they were Oscar-worthy.  Reese Witherspoon?  Julia Roberts?  (Which is why it's all a big joke to me, but that's another post.)  Marion Cotillard, however, was quite good even the though the movie itself sucked a chocolate toilet log.

No, it's not.  They didn't.  Some of them did, but most of them didn't.  And I refer to winners in general, not just those listed.

Watched a movie called "Dog Soldiers" recently. Not a horrible movie. Sean Pertwee's good in it.

It's hard to say who's worthy of an Oscar, as the Academy Awards ceremony is a ballyhooed Hollywood circle jerk.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
