I was up all night.... not sleeping. I can't get a good steady night's sleep worth shit. I keep on tossing and turning and waking up multiple times, I'm thinking of getting myself tested for sleep disorders.

I haven't been able to sleep either. My hours got all fucked up like a vampire's but then I was forced to normalize and it just fucked up my body completely. At least before I would have a "nice" sleep* and then be up all night. But now I'm really sleepy in the late afternoon, early morning, and late evening and awake in the mid early morning hours, all afternoon, and early evening. So it's like alternating. Fuck the what. One Monday, I was surviving on two hours of fumes with a one hour nap. I was also on fumes the last couple of times I visited my dad.

*It sucked because even though I would sleep a solid block, half the time I kept having nightmares and when that happened, I would not wake up feeling well-rested and end up sleeping more.

Sleeping during the day is normal. At least for me...I can attested to this as I haven’t done it in a long while now and I'm always tired.

But I mean if you really think about from like a evolutionary stand point...all the big bad animals that want to kill and eat you came out at night.(Wolves, Panthers, that sorta thing.) But the nice ones that wouldn't hurt a fly are up during the days. (Deer, Birds.) So really we should all sleep during the day so some wild animal doesn't kill us in our sleep.

I could totally do the whole Vampire thing, but I love garlic damnit!

Well, I didn't really mind the vampire's hours so much but pesky day-time activities forced me to normalize too quickly. :\ During the time I dropped out of college several years back, I would actually sleep during the day, work at night, and then have my free time after work and late-night tv (after Highlander and Xena reruns and the like). I really liked it, too. And one Christmas back when I baked all of this shit for my relatives, I had managed to shift to being awake at night at that time so I baked everything in the wee hours of the morning. I'm not a farmer, why should I be awake during the day? It's hot out there!
