Posting this in a random thread as I can't make new topics, but I am seriously worried about my future at my apartment. I wonder if I'll be on the streets soon.
I live in a large house turned into apartments for college students getup. Last night, the manager was flipping the fuck out, cussing and swearing so loud and so angry that he could be heard a mile away. Someone had made a mess upstairs, and no one would fess up. He was literally red-faced angry, yelling profanities, slamming doors at 12am.
He came downstairs to my apartment 2 times, first to ask me if I made the mess, and since he didn't believe me the first time, to say that if I did make the mess, I'd be in trouble. Third time I got into an argument with him, I finally slammed the door cause I didn't want to hear his shit.
He opens the door to my apartment, barges in, and threatens to kick my ass. This is the fucking manager of the fucking apartment acting horribly unprofessional and THREATING one of his tenants?
I was on 911 like fucking whoa. He actually bragged about the cops being called, said they would drag me out of the apartment and kicked me out. He said he'd have me evicted and on the streets by the end of the weekend.
The cops came, interviewed us separately, he admitted to him that he barged into my apartment and threatened me, and the cops asked me if I wanted to have him arrested and charged with a felony.
Now, he's been real nice to me for the 2 years I've lived there, and maybe this was just a bad day for him, so I declined. I should have had him cool off in a jail cell though.
Now I'm a bit afraid of him retaliating, and a bit afraid of going to court for eviction. He probably told HIS side of the story to the owner, but I have two police witnesses and a police record that says he acted violently and unprofessionaly towards me, and threatened me with bodily harm. They can take this shit to court if they wish. Odds are, with the manager admitting threatening violence against me, I'd probably win.
Still, I'm fucking worried.
