Our friends with the Hugh Jass yard who have the water balloon battle every year had a camp out with tents, fite pits and movies on a big projection screen that threatened to blow over into the aforementioned fire pits at one point. Tons of food & booze, which I couldn't partake of thanks to stomach flu and we don't have a tent, so we didn't stay the night. Besides, there's an unspoken "ignore any noises coming from other tents" rule that Eddie said was more info than he needed, even if we had our own tent, and too many clowns in our neighborhood feel the New Year must be greeted with a volley of gunfire, so we wanted to get back home to the dogs anyway. But fun while we were there; watched "Help!" (ancient Beatles movie) and some racially-inappropriate old cartoons - then they just had to put on "Muriel's Wedding", and I, curled up on the ground in a sleeping bag, started to drift off. If a mob of gay guys has to watch an Australian movie, how about "Priscilla"? Bleh.
