- Over half the people there were dressed up as either Naruto or Bleach characters. You wouldn't believe how many green and white striped hats (from the shopkeep character from Bleach) I saw.

- There was like 100 females dressed as L from Death Note. More unoriginality.

- Jesus was there, and he blessed us with his presence.

- Apparently, in order to get fangirls to hug, glomp, grope, molest, or rape you, you have to dress up as a FAMOUS anime bishy, usually from some anime on CN. Dressing like an harem anime male doesn't cut it. Dressing as Sephiroth, Miroku, Inu Yasha, a male from Naruto, L, Kira, Edward Elric, or so forth, usually means you're gonna have 50 girls trying to rape your ass.

.....I did get a lot of hugs from females though.

- There were a lot of crossdressing males there as well. Imagine Fran from Final Fantasy 12..... as a MAN. This monstrosity known as Man-Fran was hiding in one of the screening rooms (out of modesty or embarassment I'm sure), so I was unable to get a photo of him. If I find one, I shall scar you all to death with it.

No, no man-faye type body. The scary thing was this guy had a pretty feminine body type... he was skinny as hell. You couldn't tell it was a man until he turned around.

....either that or it was some kind of shemale or transgendered or just a very manly woman with no tits.

I can't for the life of me find a picture of this guy, even though I'm sure he had to have left the screening room for even a minute to get food or go to the bathroom. And I think he was out for a little bit. I think I found his Cosplay.com account but his gallery is empty.

yeah I saw that when I looked it up. I meant what is a cosplay shougi? Do you play that game in costume? Or do you act as the chess pieces and the players move you about and then you have to battle it out in character when you get moved into the same spot?

So he was... convincing? Yeeeeah, I'd rather see a convincing dude being a chick than Man-Faye or Man-Sakura. Couldn't he at least have shaved that moustache? That weirds things up exponentially.

soon I will have a new car and will be able to attend anime club meetings. Tom's club has 2 different chapters at the north and south campuses respectively. He goes to the south one but the north one is closer to me. I'll probably chell both out.

They have people who are dressed up who act as the chess pieces, and then two people in their own costumes actually play the game. And then when you "kill" another piece, you do it in the way the character would do it.

Oh yea, I went to an all day Japanese Animation festival over the weekend. Ironically, when it ended at midnight, at a local downtown theater that only plays artsy, independent, cult, and foreign films played the dub of the Cowboy Bebop movie. Coincidence?

Since I had to take a cab home, the cab driver asked me what I had been doing, and I told her about the movie, and I found out she was an anime fan as well. She started talking about Last Exile. The other passenger was a member of Brown University's basketball team. Why a guy from an Ivy League school would be taking a cab is beyond me.

One of the many equations I have stumbled upon spending lonely nights in front of a chalkboard trying to define all the laws that govern my many ridiculous catch phrases. There are many other, of course. Perhaps one day I will publish my findings.
