So many feels. I actually almost shed a tear during the last scene of Kaworu and Shinji. They were so cute together (and not in a homo kind of way). I can see why a lot of people said it was gay but it definitely wasnt. The friendship culture in Japan is different than here. Like in India too. Men hold hands there when walking but that would be looked bad for a straight guy in the US.

Though if you're wanting to get into it, I'd still recommend the original show over the new movies. Bite sized nuggets of insanity are better then heaping helpings. But the movies are glorious.

Don't remember the cameo, but it's been a little while since I watched it.

And, yes, Escaflowne is a great show. Just avoid the movie...it's pretty but a really crummy rewrite of the show.

Yeah, the nose thing is annoying. It's hard to watch Macross again for sort of the same reason, but if you get past that you'll find a great show.

Depends on how much you love or hate Ocean Group. I found it to be a serviceable dub. But I have the Escaflowne Perfect Collection on DVD, so I can switch back and forth.

I saw the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OVAs. Well, I already saw one so it was just a matter of watching the other three. Really, really meh for the most part. Not bad but certainly not worth the regular purchase price. Would be better as an extra in an ultimate series box set.

I've got them, but I haven't watched them.

Been watching Campione! lately. A guy kills a rogue god and gets its powers, so he can now kill other heretic gods in an effort to stave of some prophecy that's essentially about Armageddon, and he accumulates a harem of various styles of chicks who all want to sleep with him, but he's too virtuous/naive/stupid to do so. It's in most respects a typical harem show, but a well-realized one with very nice production values and shockingly no nudity given the fan service involved. Naturally, it won't be getting a second season, which is a shame, since I enjoyed it...apparently the home audience didn't appreciate the liberties it took with the original light novel storylines. I couldn't give too shits for that, since I'll never read the damn things, but them's the breaks.

What'd you think of the new Last Exile (which, with no context, sounds incredibly retarded... Like a new "Final" Fantasy, but anyway) series? I heard it fell far short of the original, but I actively try to avoid heeding the drawn out overly critical reviews.

I'm still watching it. It's good enough to finish, I'd say, at least so far. I think I'm about halfway through. The original is superior, mostly due to more interesting characters. The characters are still good, just not as good as the original series. The overall plot is decent. The Guild not having control changes the dynamics of the different nations considerably.

I haven't finished it, but at the current point that I am at, I'd give the original Last Exile at least an 8/10, and this as 6-7.5

I saw bits of Attack on Titan. I think I'll wait 'til it's complete or near completion so I can do a proper marathon. Wait, how long is it gonna be anyway? Well, I'll wait for more episodes before I start on it regardless of length.

Fairy Tail's finally on Netflix streaming, so I'm going to attempt to resume that.

Sitting through Fairy Tail, it really likes to talk down to you. Like "So-n-so can do this because they blah blah blah. He learned this from blah blah blah. So his magic is different from wah-wah-wah." I get needing to point out what happened when someone's losing a fight and there's room for confusion, but it's starting to grate me. You can say these things in one sentence and most of the time it's obvious anyway. Natsu's intense heat is drawing all the wind to him. We can see that. Don't have the damn cat explain it with a fuckin' diagram like the viewer's retarded.

You're right, it got much better. Well, not immediately. At least at when that one duder was like 'im the guild master's grandson fuck you lol.' Too bad the Netflix stream ends there. Will definetely stream season two when it's available.

Also, I saw Trigun Badlands. Was predictable and Vash came off super-rapey. But at least it didn't bore me.

I saw it more as him being super-clingy. Which is his default reaction to chicks.

I've watched several shows lately, but nothing that elicited a strong response either way as I have only had time to finish one show. I did finish watching Secret of Nogizaka Haruka, which is a straight-up high school romance. Guy looks up to unattainable perfect rich girl until he discovers that she's a closet otaku, and then they clumsily make they way through whatever crap each episode finds to throw at them. But there's not much there, as there are no real romantic rivals to speak of and the girl's family more or less approves of the guy. There's a lot of very mild fan service...no real nudity aside from a few butt-shots and some bathing. Very sweet show; just on the dull side. If there's a second season I'll watch it.

I haven't seen the Trigun series all the way through but I did kinda figure as much. Still... homechick told him not to touch her and he starts kissing her arm all over. Ew. That officially crossed the clingy line.

Also.... Bit the bullet and marathoned Attack on Titan. Fantastic series. So hard to pull myself away. Now I have to wait for the next one each week. Why did I do this to myself?11fnbnl,g b.
