Bonta-kun Is freakin' awesome.

The whole franchise is great. FMP! was awesome, but it was somewhat scattered as it combined scifi military action with schoolyard drama and humor. Fumoffu focused on the school part and was a laugh riot, and Second Raid focused on action and drama and was very good in itself. If you haven't watched the others, it's a good reason to sign up with Netflix for a month or so.

Yeah, SC had an decent end to it. WR pissed me off. It could've been brillaint. I still like to watch random episodes from time to time, but right when Cher died, the rest of the series died with her.

Just started on Le Chevalier D'Eon. Beautifully drawn and based in an interesting historical figure. That and Amazon hasn't delivered Hellsing Ultimate 2 yet. My Integra fix eludes me still.

I just got more of a fix of Code Geass. It's Clamp but not like typical Clamp. You have your evil empire that's taking over the world, and who puts the citizens of the countries it takes over in ghettos/camps/or just kills them, nazi style. You have this main character who's the bastard son of the emperor who blames the empire for his mother's death and his sister's blindness/parapelegia, and has joined forced with Japanese rebels to wage war on the empire. The two things he has going for him is he's a brilliant tactician, and he has this eye (the Geass) that allows him to Jedi Mindtrick and order anyone to do what he wants them to do.

I just won a capsule figurine of the guy with his Geass eye, he's only half an inch tall and has some kind of lanyard hooked to his head.

I also saw a little of Romeo x Juliet and some anime about a butler with super powers.

Much closer to the spirit of the manga. I don't mind an original OVA storyline (or deviated after a point as this was) and was quite happy to see Integra on screen, but you couldn't get a straight pin up her ass with a jackhammer. Ultimate keeps her sense of humor and the almost flirtatious/teasing rapport she has with Alucard. Part of the mystery of Hellsing is what keeps Alucard around, and I think Crispin Freeman hit the nail when he said that Alucard was looking for anything to get him jazzed after 500+ years. It's evident in the manga how much he enjoys the constant mental sparring with Integra, and they got it right in this OVA.

Agreed, it's a real improvement. The difference will be very apparent with the next volume, since they've caught up with where the manga and original anime diverged, that being the point at which Hellsing first heard of the existence of Millenium from Jan Valentine.

Romor has part of the storyline from Hellsing: The Dawn in an upcoming volume. Wonder if it will have Girlycard or just Walter bustin' Nazis. Young Walter is the shit.

apparently viz the company that makes death note has ordered a cease and desist to all fun sub people because...well because they don't want me seeing it...for free...I guess.

Who cares.

The point is that some people have continued to sub it anyway and I've got to assemble all the remaining episodes before their torrents vanish!

I really, really like Haruhi, but comparing it to Azumanga Daioh makes no sense. The animation is FAR superior, the art far more detailed with more typical but very well-realized character designs, but the humor is more, I don't know, "scripted" than AzuDai and also has a rather serious overarching, if a bit undefined, plotline. If you took my opinion as gospel, you'd put Haruhi very close to the top of your to-see list.

Eiken...despite my great appreciation for fanservice, even I stayed clear from this one, having heard of the plethora of offensively-sized bazooms. If you want torpedo tits with an actual if difficult to figure out storyline, watch Divergence Eve/Misaki Chronicles.

Well of course I have to watch it to find the clips. I mean this is something I would normally not watch, I just got it to look for a clips for an AMV I'm messing around with.

Oh yea, and the version I downloaded was a rip in japanese only with no subtitles, so I have no idea what the fuck is going on in the show. But just sitting down and watching it (and jotting down the times of footage I want to extract), it's fucking fanservicey to the extreme. Big boobs and panty shots every fucking second.
