Reading what you posted, I think I'd totally watch some Rumiko Takahashi-made hentai anime. Don't expect to ever get any but it would make all of her stock characters and the recycled situations she puts them in all the more entertaining, methinks.
LWA is pretty but dull. Plus it was a hot potato with sub groups for whatever reason, and after the second group I was getting it from up and quit updating I decided it wasn't worth following up on.
It bums me out to say it but, yeah, it's pretty dull. I'm struggling to think how they could've fixed it plot-wise. The Chariot thing should definitely not have been dragged out like this. The most interesting parts so far have been Akko trying to fly, Akko's encounters with Andrew, and the Samhain festival. This was supposed to be the comfy show with the adorably cute witches, dammit.
I stopped with Scum's Wish after the first episode, as it looked like it was going to become a miserable slog if I buckled down to watch it. I can watch stuff even if it's slow, or dry, or trashy, or ugly, etc.; but depressing stuff is OUT.
For me, it wasn't so much that is was depressing. It was more boring than depressing and I think I could've stuck with this one if the main character and her bummer feels had been placed in a different situation. But combined with clueless cuck-sensei, smug whore-sensei, emo lesbo-chan, and apathetic manslut-kun, it just had too many don'ts in it. I didn't feel like being bored AND annoyed. Pity because I think I rather liked the art and general look of the show.
Saw most of Rakshasa Street and am just really confused. It actually wasn't terrible and I liked some of the characters. The budget shortcuts show with some jarring CG. The King's Avatar also has some jarring CG but Rakshasa Street actually does some of the fighting action with the CG so it makes the movements look sloppier. It gets an A for effort at least and the story is at least
trying something.
