I finished Cautious Hero, which ended on a surprisingly serious note. It's almost guaranteed a second season given its popularity in Japan, but it makes me wonder how funny it will be given the last two episodes of this season.
Six Deadly Sins is still on-going, but at least it seems to be drawing to an actual conclusion. While it finally got some direction this go-around it's still a bit of a mind trip, and pacing is still a problem.
I'd started Food Wars, but the first few episodes were so boring with the group face-offs I decided to hold off until they conclude so I can skip through a lot of it. This season should finish it off, but it's an ongoing through Winter 2020.
I started pulling Babylon, but it inexplicably stopped at episode 7 before I began watching it. So that's on hold.
Dr. Stone began to be onerous a few episodes in...I've got the season on-hand to watch, but it just doesn't look like my cup of tea. It was standard shounen fare, but apparently very well received shounen fare.
Val x Love was my main smut pick of the season, but it turned out to be crap until the end, where the MC quit being a whiny little bitch. The manga is still on-going, so it could get a second season, but the magic 8-ball says reply hazy try again.
I've kept pulling Vinland Saga, but 3 episodes in I don't care for it. Of course, that's still in the epilogue portion, but if that's any indication as to the rest of it, it's too dour and gritty for my tastes.
Kandakowa Jet Girls was my secondary smut pick, but I quit watching after three episodes. It's a by-the-numbers sports anime with jet skis and bare boobs once per episode...in other words, bah. The butt bumping anime from a couple years ago did the same thing but better.
No Guns Life looked good, and it is big on guns which is a major passion of mine, but I haven't started it yet. Depending on how busy the new year is will determine if I even bother with it (or any of the already mentioned shows I've held back on watching).
Fire Force looked good, but again I got too busy in the early eps and let it slip. It's on my queue, but we'll see.
I pulled the first season of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes remake series, and it seems good, but I want to finish it before looking into the just wrapped up second season. It's a condensed version of the sprawling eighties-nineties series of over 100 episodes, but it was regarded as one of the all-time classic long-form anime series. Hopefully they are able to effectively put it in a nutshell so I can deal with it.
