I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be seeing in the painting. They don't really say in the description...
In the last two pictures, the girl's/doll's face is very skull-like, the boy seems to edge away from her because he fades into the background a bit and the thing she's holding resembles a gun.
Paintings will change according to the light. For years, I was terrified of a portrait done of my great-great grandmother as a child around 1867. Nobody smiled in portraits back then and her face looked like a scowling middle-aged woman and became a skull in certain lights. To compound the terror, it was a full-body painting and the damn thing was over 5 feet tall. I got over my fear when I inherited it - unfortunately, it was stored in a closet during TS Alison and the water came up over the frame and wet the canvas. When it dried, it split and disintegrated, right through the face. That was fun to find - guess old Grandma Maddie just had to scare the piss outta me one last time.
