What sequel? This movie sucks too much to warrant a sequel.
I like to go down to the playground and watch the kids run and jump and scream, because they don't know I'm only using blanks.

Modern anime is a stagnant cesspool of regurgitated ideas.

I enjoyed three. I like the idea that something was going on there that Hammond and the others didn't know about.

I look forward to 4.

I liked 1...Hated 2 (mainly cause I read the book before I saw the movie. Sure fire way to hate a movie. Hollywood always fucks up books to movies. There are rare expections, but for the most part they fuck it up.) and I'm indifferent about 3.

1 bored the crap out of me.

Stupid kids. They ruined so much of the movie. Same goes for 2 & 3.

I liked 1.  I didn't care for the kids that much either, but Dr. Grant and some of the others shared enough scenes with them to make them tolerable.  Wayne Knight's death is a classic and who can forget the old "Mr. Arnold?  Oh thank goodness--  AAARGH!!".  I can't count the times I've made fun of that one in some way.

When the girl started doing damn gymnastics in 2, I knew it was over.  That and the fact that I didn't think Mr. Malcolm was into teh chocolate.  There were some good parts, just not enough of them.

3 was somewhat enjoyable, though I was somewhat annoyed by the kid.  And that duder who stole the egg reminded me of Strafe.  I'll also remember 3 because Merla and I saw it on opening day.  We were running late and it was soooo crowded in the theater.  The guy was like "It's nearly full, are you sure?" and kept wasting our time with those sort of questions.  The minute I paid and my tickets popped up, I snatched them and left.

I have no idea what to think of 4.  Does it still involve intelligent dinosaurs or was that just a baseless rumor?

The chick from 2 will come back & teach the raptors gymnastics.  They'll form the new Olympic team and inspire the nation by cutting off their tails in a show of solidarity after one team member is drugged and has her tail amputated by an evil rival coach.  They win the gold all-around medal and the movie closes with them bounding around the stadium wrapped in the flag and a close-up of the evil coach smirking  on a plane with the tail packed in dry ice at her feet....
Tortures end me,
Death befriends me.
Of all the pains, the greatest pain

I will be there opening day if it's about super-smart raptor commandos used as weapons by the government.

When his daughter kicked the raptor in #2, the whole theater I was in clapped.

Indeed.

I think everyone knows my stance on clapping in the theater.  If you disagree, I will cut your arms and feet off when I finally meet up with you in real life.

It's like people think it's a play or something.  Collective stupidity is a major reason why I don't go to theaters any more.  That, and I refuse to pay out the nose to go.
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Yeah unless it's a screening or something and you know someone responsible for the movie is there I don't see the point of clapping. I've done it at film festivals for just that reason but that's a whole different issue.

I found myself cheering, clapping, etc. several times in the past.  Usually it's at opening day showings of big sci-fi movies like the St*r WarzzZZ prequals.  THere's something cathartic about letting your reactions out like that when you're in a room full of people that are really into it.

Well that was before you knew any better..so totally excuseable. I think I did as well, but I went to one of those midnight showings full of guys just like me that had been wating most of our lives for this...so I can see being caught up in that, but my general reaction as the film went on was "What the fuck is this?"

I agree with shell.

I don't mind people clapping and cheering during the movie especially during really exciting parts.  It lets me know that everyone else is enjoying it just as much as I am.

I found myself only going on a regular basis when I had a friend who worked in a movie theater...  Getting in to see movies ahead ot their release dates in an empty theater for free kicked serious ass.

It's not that great...I worked at one for awhile. Getting to see "Batman and Robin" first didn't really out weigh the BS you had to put up with from the John Q. Public.

Sounds more like a punishment to me.

The theater closest to me now doesn't even have fucking matinees.  Their earliest showings are like at 1 in the afternoon.  What's the point of that?  If they had ten o'clock showings, I would probably go every Monday.  I'm surprised too because they're in the heart of downtown, but I guess the tourists would rather see our green river than go watch an early movie.

The next theater I can think of shows mainly artsy-fartsy limited run stuff, which is okay with me except a lot of it usually lasts about a week and is gone by the time I hear it was showing here.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just went to the anime store to rent Berserk only to find out they've stopped renting anime altogether!! Gah! Where the hell am I supposed to get cheap anime now?!

All the anime they once rented they're selling. It's hard to decide whether to buy something from the store or not... DVDs are $12 and VHS is $7. To me that seems too expensive, but it may be just me, but I swear I've seen VHS as low as $2 at cons. This makes buying longer series, which may go over $100, seem stupid. Plus all the good selection seems to have gone.

I do have my eye on Slayers on VHS (I think they sold the DVDs already.. but if not :3), Trigun on VHS, Rahxephon on DVD... but most of that I'd be paying $60-90 which seems insane to pay that much for USED, PREVIOUSLY RENTED AND PROBABLY SCRATCHED MATERIAL. No wonder the anime store might go out of business, their shit's too expensive.

Also, I hope these aren't frauds, but it seems cheaper on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rahxephon-Complete-TV-...1QQcmdZViewItem
http://cgi.ebay.com/TRIGUN-TV-Series-COMPL...1QQcmdZViewItem
http://cgi.ebay.com/BERSERK-ANIME-DVD-COMP...1QQcmdZViewItem

This one's probably legit, I've seen it before in stores:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Slayers-Next-Anime-4-D...1QQcmdZViewItem

Hell, it's probably cheaper to get it all on ebay.

Those are  bootlegs. Their quality will vary depending on the source. Some are ripped from region 1 DVDs and are perfect quality. some that were released before a good proper release was made are TV source and pretty bad. Subtitles, when not ripped from an official release, are more often that not ranging somewhere from bad to unwatcheable.
