Yes, alas, you are only given 9 spaces to name people with, and only 5 to name chocobos with.

Then you get to VIII and you only get 7 letters to name people with, and you don't get to name everyone.

Edit: Hating Yuffie is impossible. If you don't like her, don't let her on your team! And who keeps getting named Bitch? I should kick them for that.

My sis wanted to name everyone Sephiroth when she played, but settled for giving everyone each others' names. So Tifa became Cait Sith, Vincent became Cloud, and so on.

You could say that the juction system is terribly confusing and not explained thoroughly, or you could point out that the junction/magic interface is clunky and poorly arranged............

but "boring" is just inaccurate. It wasn't as fast-paced as VII, but neither was, well, anything else ever.
