Ummmmmm.....I think it was something like that. Like Eddie Brock and Peter's fathers worked on it together and Peter found it after he became Spider-Man. At least that's what I gathered when I played "Ultimate Spider-Man" on my Xbox.

Yeah. They said Gwen is playing in a love triangle, so I doubt they'd kill MJ off. The director said before that Eddie Brock is in the film, but not as Venom several times.

I think the black costume spiderman is either just a teaser to the fans, or it's a foreshadow of Gwen's death since it looks kinda like is against a bridge. Plus, the Venom costume wasn't just an all black of the red and blue, but a different costume entirely.

Venom could be that Eddie Brock is either a mutant, or he too gets radio active spider bite, just mutates differently. I see that more than aliens or the ultimate explanation.

My guess is that they're going to borrow the Venom origin right from the Ultimate storyline. They'll see it as a quick, easy way to explain it and the Parker's disappearance.

I doubt that, the movies haven't ever borrowed from the Utimates. If so, Colosus would be gay, Peter would have dumped Mary Jane, and Galactus would be a cockaroach.

She did dies by the following way:

Original universe, she's Spidey's first real love. The Green Goblin finds this out, and like the movies, kidnaps her to the Brooklyn bridge, holding her hostage. Except, unlike the movie, Goblin throws her and spidey tries to save her, but in webbing her leg, her body twisted and her neck snapped and her body hit the bridge, killing her. This... lead to many bad things.

In the Ultimate, she got hosed. The best character in it, and she was killed in such a gay way, I won't even mention it.

I see topher as possibly being a colleague of peter's who discovers who he is and parker confides in him how it came to happen and then topher deliberately re-enacts the process but something goes horribly wrong...
