Those fucking thieves across the street stole some chairs from us among other things and you know where those chairs are right now?  Sitting out in their front lawn!!  Facing our house!!  That just isn't right!  Those fucking people!

Police station. ASAP.  Tell them what happened, and ask for a home ID kit. If they don't have one, they can tell you where to get one.  Engrave a last name & last 4 digits of someone's TDL on anything you want to keep.  If you go over there, you'll just get a stupid grin and a story about how their brother-in-law's sister's cousin gave the chairs to them, or a "fuck you, bitch, prove it", neither of which you can counter without permanent ID on the items.

1.  I don't understand what you mean by the home ID kit.
2.  I'm scared of calling the police.  I know I should but I'm scared of any possible retaliation.
3.  Although I think we have one chair left just like the ones that got taken, how are we suppose to prove those are ours.  I think we sent the report in (it took us a while to get it in).
4.  What's a TDL?
5.  Can you drive over here and save me?  :(

Also, I still have to live here and so does the rest of my family.  I know that none of them would call the police because no one wants any further involvement with those horrible people.  It's a mix between anger, wanting justice, fear, and confusion.

Do you have plenty of freezer space, or will more creativity be needed to dispose of the corpses?

More creativity.  That's a lot of corpses.  A dozen or so different people (at the least) go in and out of that house.

Home ID kits have a manual or electric engraving tool.  You can ID all kinds of things with it.  Refrain from going across the street with it and engraving "DON'T STEAL OUR STUFF, FUCKHEAD" in their house or hands, though. Ask at the same station you filed/got the report form, and I think they can update it.

TDL is Texas Driver's License.  Old advice was engraving a social security number, but I definitely wouldn't do that.

Unfortunately, unless you have dated photos of those chairs in your old house, they could just as easily point at your one remaining chair & claim that YOU stole it from THEM.   Personally, I would put the other chair on the curb in plain view of them, and call across the street, "Want this one too?  My grandma peed in all of them before she died, so you might want to clean them again."  :P

I think you all need to say "Fuck SA" and and start your new lives by renting the house next door to us.   :D

If you're suggesting I go over there and engrave the chairs and then call the police there's no way in hell.  There is someone there ALL the time (especially at night) and they come outside unpredicatably.  My best chance would be to wait until I see no cars and the house is dark but even then, there could still be people I don't see and there's a huge streetlight in front of their house.

I'm leaning towards a few things...

1. Child Protective Services.
Though they all look like young kids to me, its hard to tell the ages of the people living there.  There is however at least one without-a-doubt minor that has permanent residence there.  He is constantly being exposed to their uncouth behavior and right now, he's playing outside by those chairs.  (Funny, I didn't think today was a holiday.  Isn't there something called... SCHOOL!?)  My aunt said it would be anonymous if we reported them and although I would hope it would do something, I don't see it having much if any affect.

2.  Contact their landlord.
I don't think this is possible.  I don't even know who the landlord is, though we've been told by two parties that those people are renting, we don't know if they in fact own the house or if they know the landlord.  Complaining to him/her probably wouldn't do much good either.  Maybe if it were rented through an agency, but not even then.   Unless they're anal like Remax.  Chances are it's a person who just wants their money every month, even if it comes from stolen property.

3.  Say, do you know anyone who could...
The dangerous third option.  Ask various people, relatives, co-workers, or even my stupid dad if they know anyone who could either mess those people up, vandalize their house, or at the very least steal our chairs back.  (Not that I want them back, but neither do I want them there out front mocking me.)

Those are the thoughts going through my head though I'll probably do none due to the sheer futility of it all.  Even if I did act, it'd be a different story if we had as many people over here all the time as they did.  I'm also concerned about them coming over and killing our pets as a form of retaliation.  They look like the sort and I would never forgive myself if that happened, even if they did get caught for it and we got all of our stuff back and then some, it wouldn't be worth it.  Those are my kids.

Nuri, the only prob I see of you not doing nothing is that then they'll keep doing stuff like that to you(stealing your stuff) cause maybe the chairs was like a test, you know, "steal her chairs, put them in the front and see what she would do"

You mean besides all of the other stuff we already know was taken?  No.  I imagine years from now, I'll be looking for something, not find it and think to myself "well damn, that got stolen, too".

Merla is insisting those aren't our chairs.  I really can't tell.  Though they look a little higher in the back than our leftover, at the same time, the two that got stolen could've also been higher in the back and darker in shade.  We didn't use them often enough to tell.  Also, it's a strange coincidence that we have two chairs (two, no more, no less), blue, with a netted drink holder on each side, similar style stolen from us and now our neighbors that the other neighbors even suspect of having done the crime have two chairs (no more, no less) blue, with netted drink holders of nearly identical style.  Frankly, I'm not getting up close and inspecting them to find out.

I did send a query over to the SAPD, just to get an answer of what the hypothetical outcome would be in this situation.

 ????  Let's challenge this theory!

Personal Stats:

Times I've played beer pong: zero

Marriages - more than one

Former Lovers: Let's just say more than ten ;)

My brother has also never played beer pong, and he estimates over 3,000 sexual encounters before he settled down with his sweetie.  :)

Conclusion: The lack of Beer Pong in one's life has no adverse effects on one's companionship or matrimonial prospects.

NonoNOnono!   I'm afraid the chairs are history and, as Faye mentioned, are being used to goad you.  Pursue the CPS angle, as a report will be held confidential, and just might land some of the losers in jail.  (Wanna bet one of the teenho's is the mother?)  If you're really curious about the landlord/owner, go here and enter the address.

But as I mentioned I didn't want the chairs themselves anyway.  I just don't want them being lorded about in front of me.  So now I don't get what you meant by calling the police ASAP and engraving stuff.  Are you suggesting then that I get one of those kit thingies and go to town on all of the stuff I own?

And I think Faye crossed her wires with my future, where I die never having been married, all alone, but at 40 of a heart attack.  Then my cats, locked in and hungry, feast upon the corpse.

Wow, that site is cool!  Bernie has all sorts of smarts and thangs!

I think this might be them.  Dunno if the link will necessarily work if I post it...:

http://www.bcad.org/reports/rp2/d247/f156.rep

I don't remember the exact address, but that one's the closest one to ours and it matches the story by the neighbor that both houses opposite us are owned by same people since this one is theirs as well:

A letter will be composed to these people, this I vow.  (Even if it is anonymous, which it will be.)

Yep, go to town on all of your current possessions with the engraver.  I know this kind of implies that it may happen again, which we want to send all kinds of vibes AGAINST, of course, but studies have shown that thieves tend to leave engraved things alone because they're difficult to fence.  Some police departments have an actual program you can sign up for called Operation ID - couldn't find one for SA, but it just might not be online. Here's how the program works: Op ID in Arlington

Well I'm starting to begin a catalog of seriel numbers on my stuff, though I don't know if that would help.  I know it's negative nancy, but I don't see them being undaunted by engraved possessions.  They took my teeth moldings.  I don't think they were interested in fencing as much as they were in just taking things for themselves.  I'll keep that in mind though.

I don't suppose this engraver thingy is something you can pick up cheap at Home Depot if Op ID in Arlington says to borrow one from the fire department.

Okay, if you really can't care less, then why the fuck are you saying anything at all? And I'm sorry if you feel bullied by me (which I didn't think was possible, what with your elitist "go and watch Nickelodeon" attitude), but I do try to treat everyone equally. You just happen to say more things that I find objectionable than others do. If anyone else was even a little like you, I'd tease them in the same way.

How the hell am I angsty? I guess I never thought of myself as being that way. If that is how you feel, please elaborate.

You really don't know me well enough to say that I'm gonna live my whole life by myself. Yes, I tend to be a solitary person, but that's not really enough to judge a person by. And, you know, I might just be happier alone. Not everyone finds getting drunk and partying on a regular basis fun.

I just thought of something.  If I hypothetically bought an engraver (assuming a level of affordability), would I have to buy another engraver so I can engrave the engraver I just bought?

It is. They didn't.  Between 14-16, I was in a passionate love affair with my best (female) friend, was cutting myself with razor blades, drinking, also hot for the most gorgeous guy in the sophomore class Erik who was infatuated with my best friend and admitted he was gay when we told him we were in love (he & I became each other's cover stories), AND on top of that, played the sweet, innocent lead character Laurey when we did "Oklahoma!" as the class musical.  If that ain't hell, tell me what is. :P

I did get to kiss Erik without my girlfriend getting jealous though.

Bernie could write a novel about all her stories!
10,000 steps down, round and round. One night on the town and I'm hellbound ... Black oceans beneath, come and swallow me. My little tower, seal my fate. Help me pay back, end their hate. Black oceans beneath, come and swallow me
