Odd too, that for thousands of years women have performed crude abortions or forced misscarriages to get rid of an unwanted baby, or even worse, thrown the baby out with the garbage (like the Romans).

And yet, only in the past 100 years or less is abortion somehow a great evil. I call bullshit.

After googling about for a few minutes, it seems that the hebrew word for Murder used in that scripture is put to "PREMEDITATED Murder without cause." Warfare, though how stupid the cause is, is still cause.

Though I am not an advocate of meat, there is nothing Biblically wrong with it. God provided animals and plants for mankind to use, but not to mistreat animals or the enivorment. I just plain out don't like it.

I am angered when people use this scripture because nine times out of ten, including when being used by 'hardcore christians' its whole meaning is swept under the rug and nobobdy gives a shit about context. If your going to quote the bible, you might as well quote the whole thing for accuracy.

EDIT: The main case on abortion from the Conservative Christian side is that the creature is a human being, the main argument I suppose should really be whether or not there is good cause.

Murder is murder, and it's a selfish cultural thing to think that the Earth was put here for us to use indiscriminantly. We effect the Earth, and she effects us. The reasoning that the end is coming soon is the reason why some politicians don't care about global warming. It's bullshit.

South Dakota is banning all abortions unless the mother's life is endangered, even for cases of rape & incest. Mississippi is on the way to the same.

The only people happier than abortion protesters are the Mafia. They made a fortune off of back-alley abortion clinics before Roe V. Wade.

I am pro-CHOICE, not advocating abortion as a panacea. CHOICE can go either way. My interest in the subject is academic altruism as I got myself spayed.

And not to blow my own horn too much, but if people put as much thought and honest soul-searching into having children as most Childfree put into NOT having them, I think we'd have a healthier society in general.

Many years ago when I had no health insurance, I got hit on the forehead with a rock while walking through the parking lot at Planned Parenthood - I was there for my freaking annual exam! I think yesterday or the day before there was this case that they talked about it on bbc.com about this woman who wanted to keep the embryos she froze before she had ovary cancer, but now she can't cause her ex bf doesn't want any baby from her.
