When I first saw an episode or two of Full Metal Panic (and browsed the manga) it seemed to be a high-school drama anime with a little mecha mixed in here and there. I was repulsed by it because I hate to see anime where the humor is a female beating up a nerdy male.

In fact, why the hell are there so many anime where some overly agressive females that act like they're hyped up on testosterone beat up on a weak male? What, are all Japanese males submissive sadomasochists? That's why I stopped watching Love Hina, it got boring with all the shit.

However, I have to say that The Second Raid is mostly free of that BDSM shit, and full of bloodshed and giant robots. It is made of win and God.

Oh, I've considered it. Raiding and pillaging that is.

The Second Raid.So far, I think it's better than the other series due to more mecha and war, and less stupid slapstick.

I saw one episode of FMP on a Newtype DVD sampler and thought it was a piece of shit. The manga looked a little more interesting, but not enough to go out and buy it.

True, but the mech on mech action is replaced by girl on girl action. One episode features a virus that eats highschool uniforms.

Well, the series took an odd turn. Sosuke turned emo because he can't be with his bitch anymore, so he went AWOL on a mission to go sit in an alley in the rain, sobbing and cutting his wrists. While at the same time, Chidori flips out and kicks the crap out of a ninja assassin all by herself, wearing nothing but her skivvies. Now who has the balls of steel??
